basically a micro SD slot which can take the micro SDXC cards as well you are covered for pretty much any memory need
This is a review of the Leicke Samsung OTG HUB 3xUSB SDHC TF Card Reader.I have the Samsung Note 10.1 2014 edition which I use daily for my photography busines.I use the Samsung connected to the Leicke Sharon Samsung Galaxy Tab PRO 10.1 Protective Case with Detachable Bluetooth Keyboard and UNIQUE Integrated Multitouch Touchpad | UK QWERTY Layout.Of which I have already put a review here, http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00MQTUF4O?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00Adding the Leicke OTG hub has made the tablet a complete small computer away from the studio.Although as most tablet have a memory card slot they generally are not available if used with a case as most of the time the case edge covers the card slot.Secondly and more likely even if your card slot is available you probably have programs installed on it and would have to unmount the card safely to prevent data loss and of course this then means any data or programmes on the card are now unavailable. This Leicke OTG hub gets around that issue in an extremely small and neat solution. With three USB 2.0 slots one SD slot which can take the SDHC plus a TF slot, basically a micro SD slot which can take the micro SDXC cards as well you are covered for pretty much any memory need. The two other memory card slots a M2 & MS are for the Sony type cards, large & small.Except the M2 & MS slots I have tried all the other connections. Each time a card or USB stick is connected a small message pops up in the top left corner to show what has been connected, including the actual hub when first connected, as are all devices when disconnected. There is even the option to safely unmount cards & sticks plus format if needed.I also attached a full size keyboard & mouse all worked flawlessly, the full size keyboard and the bluetooth keyboard work at the same time so if you have a blue tooth keyboard there is no need to disconnect if you have a reason to have both connected. My full size keyboard I have had for over two years & next to the right Ctrl is a key I have never used, it has a portrait rectangle with three horizontal lines in the middle. This is the same as the menu button on the tablet, so that's pretty neat.Pressing the escape key is the same as the back arrow on the tablet. The numeric side of the keyboard woked as expected with the calculator as does the caps lock & tab key. The Ctrl + c or v ( cut & paste ) works as well.So all in all the Leicke OTG hub allows the keyboard & mouse combo to fully work as normal, the Windows key did nothing but that was to be expected. One unexpected bonus was the Leicke OTG hub does not need the power supply unless you need to use an external hard drive or similar that need power. The hub takes its power from the tablet meaning if you have no available power you can do 99% of the things you need to anyway.I had the full size keyboard & mouse plus a SD card & USB stick all plugged in at once without the need for the external power connected. Everything worked without a glitch. The Leicke OTG hub was the only version I came across with the power cord as part of the deal, all others charged extra for this so be aware becuase I suspect you will come to rely on this device & eventually start to use such devices that do need the power cord.A very good device that is easy to use, fool proof in fact. I have now a tablet that I can use to its fullest where before i had to wait until near a computer, with the Leicke OTG hub your tablet is a computer.

Small, lightweight (powered) OTG hub/reader - perfect for travel.
OTG Hub / card reader, with power - does what it says. Nice to be able to plug direct into OTG socket, but that does mean it won't go (direct) into a normal USB socket, however, that's the consequence of having a small, single, very lightweight unit !.Works OK with 5V power input as well - main reason I bought it, my tablet power output is very limited.Note, remember, assuming all 5V, you can't SUPPLY too many amps to it and too few will cause (seemingly) random (tablet/etc.) crashes / "faults".BUT, IMPORTANTLY, drawing too many amps through it could easily FRY it's insides ! - (so always best to supply power direct to any power hungry units attached to it - instead of, or as well as, power to this unit.)Subject to not doing the above, looks like it will last - though I haven't used it that much yet.Final note, due to OTG specification (excluding rare cases) you can't use this to charge the tablet through its OTG lead.

Ideally suited to the purpose
The first one I received the sd card reader did not work, contacted Leicke who were very helpful & made suggestions I try, however none worked. They dispitched a replacement immediately without waiting for the faulty one to be returned. The replacement works perfectly so I can now connect a usb mouse, an sd card, sd card in usb card reader or a usb flashdrive. It has the advantage of being small, light & well made, would slip into a pocket, bag or brief case. Many thanks to Leicke, I would certainly use their products in future.

Waste of money and time
As I removed it from the packaging the item was sticky and it also rattles when you move it (my friends doesn't rattle). It doesn't read my portable hard drives and the moment I plugged it in to my tablet it comes up "corrupted and requires formatting", yer there's nothing connected and won't allow formatting. Waste of money and time.

Micro USB OTG UB
Good useful tool to have, for me it allows me to use my SD card from my DSLR camera to view pictures rather rhan having to wait to get to my Laptop, also an excelent tool for external files such as videos/films to be played as the Tab 3 l have has limited memory, so will be good for holidays etc

Handy portable Hub.
Just 6 cm square, light and well made. It does what it says on the advert, but for no fault of the Hub, I still cannot read my portable hard drive on a Galaxy S2 Tab, but I can read USB2 flash memory sticks using this Unit.

great product and fast delivery
great product and fast delivery. Works with my 1tb hard drive but the only problem I had is that it doesn't charge my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 so it limits the time you can watch films etc. Also worked on my phone and managed to charge that at the same time so I'm guessing the battery is too big to charge on a tablet. Other than the charging problem its brilliant though.
