bought it to use on my headset on my pc but it didn't work out. Not a negative on the product, it just didnt work for my purpose for some reason. The wire works great though!

Splitter arrived in satisfactory condition. The product functioned without fault for 3 years. Due to abusive use; the mic input jack ceased to function and the adhesive to the sleeve casing covering the plastic/rubber sleeve probe and clamp came loose. However the audio-out function remains near factory standard.4 star rating is simply because it is a lower end device. It does it's job well, but it isn't high end or extremely durable. This product is nothing to write home about.The braided wire sheath in the product image is not the item being advertised. The product received has a light rubbery sheath. I would still purchase another to replace my current splitter, however the fix is simple enough to do on my own.

At first, it was really spotty and needed to be rotated and have continuous tension to hold it in the one exact sweet spot for it to connect everything right or the mic wouldn’t work and half the audio would cut out. I was really frustrated until I realized I was the one being stupid - I didn’t realize I hadn’t seated it in all the way. It took more force than expected to fully jam the headphone end in there but after that initial struggle it connects and disconnects easier now. And now I can rotate it in the socket and the connection is solid and stable, not even a crackle. So if it’s acting touchy with only one spot that seems to connect right, maybe double check it’s fully seated in the socket and use a tad more strength than expected.Now that I figured out my issue, it works fantastic!! Great sound and mic transference, nice and clear with no crackles even when it’s moved around or rotated in the socket. And it fits nice and snug in the connecting socket so it won’t easily slip out when jostled or lightly tugged. Love it!

My son’s friend got him headphones that didn’t match his computer port. These were a great solution.

It does the job and I cannot complain. I have a white steel-series headset that split the single cable to the dedicated mic and headset inputs on my tower. Simple and straight forward as it can be. Good luck finding something like this in stores. For some reason everywhere I went they had none available.
