Vegan Mascara for Sensitive Eyes, Natural and Hypoallergenic mascara, Buildable Lengthening and Volumizing for Natural Looking Eyelashes, Cruelty Free Volume and Length Lash Boost–By Gaya cosmetics

Background to ordering this: I ordered this having become aware of the majority of 'cruelty free' or 'not tested on animals' products that actually aren't what they seem...for years I've been buying Dior and MAC, blissfully unaware they abandoned their 'no animal testing' policy back in 2012 when China introduced new laws requiring all foreign made beauty products sold in China to be tested on animals...anyway, I digress...I was still using my (clumpy +12 month old Dior Diorshow mascara) that I was determined to use up until at least 4 bouts of conjunctivitis before vowing to never buy it again...I'd been looking into alternatives when I came across this product. Having read the reviews I thought I'd part with my pennies, but remained sceptical, convinced I would never find a cruelty-free replacement mascara that would cut the mustard, so I'm glad I was wrong. The product: goes on really nicely, providing a carbon black root to tip coverage that lengthens and opens up the eyes with just one coat. It really does what it says on the tin; it gives the effect of definition and length and a natural open-eyed look. With 2-3 coats it doesn't clump and just provides a look more suited to heavy eye makeup or an evening look. I basically gave this a 3 day trial before writing this review as I wanted it to be helpful. I wore 1 coat alone and did my usual gym routine, before I got rained on and then did some heavy DIY at home...no panda eyes, no smudging, no crumbling, no black bits around my eyes from it drying out. I did the same again the following day and got really sweaty and really rained on, again, it had staying power and no panda eyes. Day 3 provided the same result, after a hard workout at the gym, more rain, slightly less heavy duty work in the home again no panda eyes. The product washes off easily and I was left with no residue and again, no panda eyes requiring an extra scrub or eye makeup remover. The applicator: is plastic and spiky, it reminds me of a gimmicky Dior one I bought a while back that (in my opinion) was basically the same product but with a different applicator. I think this applicator provides good coverage and as the mascara (at the moment) is quite wet and not gloopy at all it's perfect for the root to tip coverage and individual lash definition. As a vegan and a bit of a makeup fiend I think I've found the perfect, cruelty-free product. Thank you Gaya!

I have been a longtime user of high street cosmetics, but have recently discovered the importance of natural products and decided to try this mascara after having experienced skin reactions from regular mascara (small bumps along the wet line of my eyes). I got this when it was on a lightning deal as I thought it wouldn't be a great loss should it not suit my needs, but I am now very happy that I purchased it and will be coming back for more! Having tested and used this mascara for two months now, I can safely say that I really like it. The colour intensity is good, the wand is just how I like it (defines the lashes well and adds volume), it does not irritate my eyes, is easy to remove, does not smudge or drizzle, no clumps, and best of all: it is cruelty free. The mascara tube itself is sleek and elegant, and looks quite nice in my makeup pouch. I also really like that the ingredients are natural as I do not like the idea of putting lots of chemicals on my body. You can read all the ingredients on the ingredients list on the package (see attached photos). I had an issue with the initial mascara I received, but the seller was very helpful and sent me a new mascara free of charge, even though it is Amazon who fulfils their orders. This was much appreciated, and a clear sign that the seller cares about its customers. Will definitely check out Gaya's other products when it is time to renew my cosmetics. The packaging on this mascara is so pretty and it has a good, sturdy wand and tube. The formula is quite nice as it's not too wet, and the bristles are quite firm and thin, so give really good definition. It's not very good for volume, but if you're looking for length and definition this is a great choice. I haven't noticed any clumping at all and there's no fallout either. It doesn't come off as easily as perhaps some other mascaras and when washing my face at the end of the day, I do have to go over the eye area afterwards with some product and cotton pads to remove the excess. I chose it because it's vegan, so all round it's a brilliant product and I'll definitely keep buying this product for the foreseeable future.

I love this product!! Very good mascara. It can dry up quickly though so it's worth getting if mascara is a vital daily part of your routine. The down side? I am unable to contact the seller direct via amazon. I didn't want to feed this back publicly but I have no choice. The last 2 tubes I have bought have been faulty, the wand was very loose on one and broke off after the 2nd application. The last tube I purchased appeared to have been sealed. I feel I've been sold and old tester tube that was resealed. Tube is dry and its taking me forever to apply. I may have to cancel the subscription and source another mascara as paying over £10 a tube, I expect a top quality product and one that hasn't actually been used previously!!!! Very very disappointed gaya!!

Gaya mascara is the best one I've ever used.

Can I just state that I never write reviews but as I have spent many years trying to find the perfect mascara and it has finally happened, I felt this amazing discovery needed to be shared! This mascara is perfect.. it is really jet black, it makes your lashes look really long and defined, no clumps and stays in place even after a day at work and then a tough work out at the gym, no smudging or smears! I love the fact that it is vegan and I also love the fact that it looks really expensive (a bit vain I know!) I just wish I had found this years ago and this mascara deserves a 10 star rating and not 5 stars!! Please buy you will not be disappointed!! This is an independent review.

Not sure how long you can use this for - 3 months or longer? Every time I put it on my eyes and lashes feel very irritated and I have to wipe it off. I found the brown ok but I have experienced irritation with the black and have thrown the product away and shall not use again.

I have been using more natural make up for several years now but kept using a mainstream mascara as I couldn't find a decent natural one, until now! This isn't just a good alternative, it is far better than any I have ever used! The brush beautifully lifts and separates the lashes. The mascara coats really well and goes on so smooth, with no clumps and doesn't disintegrate onto my cheeks throughout the day as my old one did. It is a joy to use and my lashes have never looked so good. I only need one coat and my lashes look beautifully natural, which can easily be built upon without looking false. Please keep making this mascara, I don't want to use any others now!

Good quality but difficult to remove

I absolutely love this mascara! I've bought it three times already, and I'll keep repurchasing it. It's vegan, feels comfortable to wear, and creates a gorgeous, natural-looking finish.

C'est la première fois que je suis satisfaite d'un mascara vegan. La brosse est parfaite: elle sépare très bien les cils et permet une application aisée. Le produit ne coule pas et ne fait pas de paquets. Ce mascara est vraiment un super achat pour celles qui souhaitent allonger leurs cils mais pas pour donner du volume. En ce qui me concerne, il répond tout à fait à mes attentes. J'ai d'ailleurs renouveler mon achat.

Zuallererst muss ich erwähnen, dass ich meine Wimpern vor der Nutzung der Mascara, längere Zeit mit einem Wimpernserum behandelt habe. Bei einem löchrigen Wimpernkranz kann auch diese Mascara keine Wunder bewirken. Aber ich hatte auf Grund der vielen Bewertungen schon sehr hohe Erwartungen an diese Wimperntusche gehabt und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Endlich eine Mascara mit einer angenehmen Konsistenz zum Auftragen. Die Wimpern werden verlängert, schön getrennt und verkleben bzw. verklumpen nicht zu Fliegenbeinen. Außerdem hält sie wirklich den ganzen Tag ohne zu bröckeln und ist wischfest. Das Bürstchen ist sehr flexibel, daran musste ich mich beim ersten Mal gewöhnen. Ich kann sie nur jedem empfehlen, der eine gute Alltags-Mascara sucht, die einen schönen natürlichen Look zaubert. Für ein krasses Abend-Augen-Make-up wird sie dem einen oder anderen wahrscheinlich zu dezent sein. Ich bin jedenfalls sehr happy, diese Mascara für mich gefunden zu haben. Der Preis ist zwar weit über den der üblichen Drogerieprodukte, aber das ist er meiner Meinung nach auch wert. Ich würde mir wünschen, dass es die Gaya-Mascara noch in der Farbe Burgunder gibt.
