How should this be used as a cleaning aid?

Zest it is used to clean brushes used in oil painting. It does not have the strong smell of turpentine but a more pleasant smell of lemon. Hope this is helpful.

can you empty used zest it doen kitchen drain?

Best way to clean paint waste is to have an old plant pot with lots of soil that can filter the liquid and debris. It doesn't matter the type, tip waste into that. Then recycle soil after a year or two. Works with oils and acrylics as these both have chemicals in them.

how can it be used as thinner and cleaner. if you mix it with paint and paint on canvas wont it strip the paint on the canvas?

Hi it thins the paint before you apply it to the canvas it doesn't desolve paint, this is for artist not for hobiests, also please do not poor this down the drain as it is hazardous. There are also safety warnings on the bottle to show you.

just checked my bottle (plastic container) i can not see a use by date anywherebut the product is very good
