Q: How good is this compared to psvr or rift? thanks

Hi. The answer is simple: not as good as the PSVR or Vive or Rift. But the possibilities on those Helmets are quite limited in therm of where and when you can use those. If you have 1000£ to spend for a VR gaming experience in your living room, then those are the best choices. But if you want to experience Virtual Reality with a dedicated device that can be used anywhere and anytime and for a reasonable price, then the Osmose VR is defiantly a much better option. Game quality may not be as Advanced as those backed with a console or PC, the image quality is better which is important to watch movies and play Steam games. So it's a choice to make between a mobile and visually pleasing experience or a more advance one but quite a few limitations.

Q: If this doesnt use a phone, can you load say an mp4 movie directly onto it through a usb?

Hello. There is no smartphone inside the Osmose VR headset but there is a screen, a CPU and all other features a smartphone has. So yes, it's possible (recommended) tu upload movies inside the Osmose VR to watch movies on the go.

Q: can you still using it when the VR is charging or you need to wait till fully charged ? and do you need to turn it off when you are charging ?

Just like a mobile phone can be used while charging, the all in one VR can be in sleep mode or used and charge in the same time. To keep the changeable batteries longer it's recommanded to keep in changed most of the time and discharge it once a month or so.
