A great read!
Being a mindfulness practitioner and MBSR teacher and an artist, I have a personal interest in the link between mindfulness and creativity. I have found mindfulness to be a great help with my own creativity and am aware which practices I gravitate towards. I found this a great book to read and particularly appreciated the research and serendipity chapters, along with the habit releasers and the integration of compassion based techniques into the course. For those interested in creativity, I would also recommend a great companion book Wired to Create: Discover the 10 things great artists, writers and innovators do differently

A lovely book to spark your interest (just don`t read the reviews from the mindfulness snobs!!!!)
Easy to read book for beginners. It all makes sense. Mindfulness is not rocket science and does not need years of practice to learn contrary to what a lot of MBSR etc teachers tell you. 10 minutes a day to start with is great and can and will lead to much more if that suits you.A lovely book to spark your interest (just don`t read the reviews from the mindfulness snobs!!!!)Enjoy

Good, but a lot of waffle
This book is great for spelling out "reasons why", but the author spends WAY too much time on explaining "why" this is beneficial. Almost like he doesn't expect readers to understand the first time so he goes on and on and on.However, it is better than most other books. I like the way he explains, just not the quantity. I fear he will lose many readers before "at last" he gets to the "how to", a good third of the book in. That's a lot of pre-waffle, but if you are totally new to mindfulness, maybe you need that much. I dunno, as I have been practising mindfulness for over a decade. I bought the book as inspiration to practise more, and it's served that purpose.

Disappointing lack of Insight
I bought this on Kindle on the understanding that it would like with free audio. All was going well till week 4. The 20 minute Insight Meditation is not available so basically though an excellent course if you buy the book and CD, not so great if you can only follow 3 weeks.

Great book.
I seem to be coming up with more creative solutions to things, it might be confirmation bias but it does seem like I get more ideas. I already practice mindfulness meditation, so I don't know if it's any good for beginners, I suspect it is though.

Written in a friendly understandable style
Great book , easy to follow and accessible. I think it is going to be very useful in my life.I got it as an ebook on kindle and downloaded the audios onto a PC and then imported into amazon music so I can access them on all my mobile devices.

I continue to employ the mindfulness techniques from 'Mindfulness: ...
I continue to employ the mindfulness techniques from 'Mindfulness: a practical guide to finding peace in a frantic world' in my everyday life. Wanted to explore a little deeper and had this book on my radar for a while. Top notch.

Disappointing
I have to agree with another review given, I do not feel this outing adds to Danny's original work with Mark Williams. For me, the collaboration with Mark Williams was excellent, and this basically uses the basic foundation of meditations with some limited variation. Personally I prefer Mark Williams voice which is excellent and it is Mindfulness - Finding Peace in a Frantic World, which I have gone back to. When I noticed the use of same/similar meditations I simply adapted using Mark Williams versions which I much prefer. The real secret here is to practice mindfulness daily and through your practice you will flourish as a creative being. My biggest regret here was ordering on pre-order which cost more, I will say in Danny's defence he is still growing/evolving, but he has an awful long way to go before he can stand shoulder to shoulder with Mark Williams as a teacher of mindfulness.

Calmness has entered into my life which should lead to creativity
I found this book and the exercises that came with it very helpful. It is now a few weeks since I completed the course and am still using the meditations on a daily basis. I felt calmness enter my daily life as each week passed. I no longer was wallowing in thoughts and self anger. in the fourth week the act of the cat parcouring off me during meditation did not bother me or interrupt my meditation. I highly recommend this book.
