Awkward: 1 (Berrybrook Middle School)

We purchased many books. My daughter liked this one the most. Purchased as something to read before starting secondary school. She recommends.

The art style is gorgeous and the characters are so expressive. And I really LOVE the science teacher! Now I want to buy myself the whole series.

I bought this book after reading Roller Girl and found it whilst commenting on it. I thought this book had a cute cover so I got my parents to buy it for me. I read it nonstop and loved everything about it. My favourite part is when Mr R keeps printing stacks of paper when they only needed 20, also the rivalry between the art club and the science club is really funny and I love what happens at the end.I would recommend this book to anyone aged 9-13 and is definitely a must read for any fans of Roller Girl.

Great but the 4 stars beneath your eyes is only because I think this book was great but at the end of the book Svetlana chmakova said she didn't think Jamie turned out as she wanted him to be but I think that he is perfect as a shy science loving boy

I feel like this graphic novel captures the life of school perfectly where building yourself a person while being part of a club and having rivals which develop into allies is a very accurate experience of my school life. I love the art style and love the way it all develops in a well paced way.

Tweeny fiction. Good scenario

It's the gift for my friend's kids. They like it so much.

My 5th grade just finished reading 'Awkward Middle School 1' and I can't stop raving about it! As a 5th grader mom, I could totally relate to the main character's struggles to fit in and navigate friendships. I know this because I my kid tells me everything. So yo get the insight to approve this book i read it too! The illustrations are hilarious and really add to the story. I loved how realistic the characters were - nobody was perfect, and everyone had their own quirks. The book tackles issues like bullying, crushes, and trying to find your place in a really approachable way. I laughed out loud and cringed along with the main character. Can't wait for her and possibly me to read the next one!

Great book came in good condition

Lo compré para mi hijo de 12 años, era lectura recomendada en inglés para 1ESO. Se le hizo pesado porque no es fácil de entender, finalmente lo leímos juntos y nos gustó mucho a los dos, los personajes son geniales y la historia es muy bonita.
