In all honestly, I don't use it for prep but I do use it to remove the tacky layer which it does perfectly.The remover though, it definitely let the team down. I'd sit there for hours waiting for it to remove my gells. I honestly think that because it's not pure acetone, it's just too gentle. This is what I do- I soak a piece of the lint free pad with the remover and put that over the nail then wrap the whole of that nail with a piece of normal kitchen foil. I repeat that process with every finger. Wait for round 10-15mins, when you remove the foil and lint free pad you should see the gel polish bubble off then I gently scrape it off. It should come off very easily if not I repeat the process again. I'd recommend buying some sort of nail oil or moisturiser as I think the remover can be quite drying to nail. That's what I do anyway but I'm not a nail tech!!
