This is a expansion board that connects to the Raspberry Pi 3B/Zero1.3/2B/B+/A+'s 40 pin GPIO connector, and breaks the pins out to breadboard-friendly arrangement and spacing. The RPi GPIO I-type Plus kit comes with an assembled I-type plus and a 20cm 40 pin ribbon cable. Pin #1 is marked with a red stripe.

Essential for breadboard prototyping.
A very useful piece of kit for prototyping. The connector itself has a notch so it's not possible to get the cable the wrong way round. Pins are labelled so, as long as you have good eyesight, there's no need for a lookup sheet. The pins are a little widely spaced. This means my breadboard only has three spare holes for each pin rather than 4.It's not obvious which way round to connect to the Raspberry Pi. The red line on ribbon cable goes next to the screw hole.

Works brilliantly. Only issue (which could be due to my breadboard) is that it doesn't fit all the way into my board, meaning the pins are exposed by a few mm, however, I haven't noticed any issues with functionality.

Works well, a must have for your project.
This works well with any PRI, but it is meant for the newer PRI2/3 with the longer GPIO row of pins.
