Review: 5/5 would buy again - These are very good speakers for the price, i have had them now for years and they've taken a hell of a battering, unfortunately one has stopped working a few months back after taking a major hit, i assumed the other one would soon break as well, but it struggles on, still producing a very loud, clear sound. As soon as it has played it's last note i will be straight back on desertcart to buy again. Review: Surprisingly Good - I wasn't expecting much at this price. I wanted some small speakers that would not take up much room on my computer desk. They slot nicely under the monitor shelf. Being USB powered is a bonus as I already have far to many multi power adapters in use and haven't really got a spare plug socket free. The wire from speaker to speaker isn't 46" long but approximately 46cm. They must have got inches and cm muddled up. The cable is long enough to sit each speaker at the side of a small monitor or underneath. I've used a USB port at the front of my PC so the volume control is reachable. I think if I'd have used a USB port at the back the volume control would not have been reachable due to the short cable (as the wire from speaker to USB is more like 48cm). I like having a physical volume control available but of course there is a digital one if you'd rather use a USB port at the back of your PC. The sound is surprisingly full, with quite a deep sound for a little speaker. For the money they are amazingly good. I'm not sure about reliability but I figure if I don't move the speakers around or play them at full blast, I don't see why they won't last. I'm pleased that I now have more sound options with my PC now connected to headphones, stereo satellite speakers and a surround sound system, and they are definitely good value for money, despite the shortness of the cables.

Bargain.
These actually are better than i expected. Very loud and full of bass. Also nice and compact. I did get the buzz that people mention when i first plugged them in. But once i had played music the buzz goes away and even now with no music there is no buzz at all. They also look nice aswell.

Good but not great
I was under the impression that these were a bit smaller than what I actually received, however that's not a bad thing- just be careful with the space next to/under/to the side of- your monitor. Best suited for desktops. Sound quality they are quite bass heavy and I opted to point them upwards to help this, but sometimes you will get a light hissing sound which is due to the wires moving. The wires include a power cable (USB) and audio jack output with a built in volume control (though you can still control it via your PC). These are OK, I tend to use headphones a lot and so these are for the times when I'd rather not wear them. They are solidly built but the cables bring it down a bit.

Look cool but that's it.
Don't bother with these. Distortion at even low volumes and a complete lack of bass, far too light for pair of speakers to have any quality at all - paid a low price on a lightning deal and still had to return them. If you really don't care about sound quality, I guess they are a small improvement on cheaper built in laptop speakers or phone speakers, and they do look quite cool, but that's the only positive thing I can say.

Mostly good with one issue
I used these for years without any real problems, great value for the cost. I had precisely one issue with them and that was a slight high pitch tone when plugged in. It was really quiet, the sort of thing that only annoys you over very long term because of how constant it is. Older people might not even be able to notice it, as my mother couldn't hear it whatsoever. Fiddling with the speaker wire would make it quieter or louder but never quite could get rid of it. I ultimately replaced these because of it with my new PC build, but if you want cheap speakers they're very good for the asking price. If you have any background noise you probably wouldn't notice the tone anyway as well.

Sweet stuff!
Absolutely awesome product! For the price the sound quality is perfect (keep in mind that those are just USB desktop speakers). When it comes to design - I love them! I'd highly recommend to anybody looking for that type of speakers! :)

I am so pleased with the sound these small speakers generate: deep, full sound. My two-years-old TV had lost its sound, sometimes completely for days, sometimes sporsdically, on and off. The manufaturer pointed out tbat the set was past the one-year warranty and recommended that I have the speakers repaired. Instead I did a lot of research on the internet and on YouTube, where I came across the idea of connecting PC speakers to the TV. The audio on this TV was never really loud enough for. Even with the volume all the way up, sometimes I had to go stand in front of the TV. I just received these today and do not know how they will perform six months from now. We shall see.But they sure are performing beautifully now. In fact, after some time, I am getting another pair for the other TV.

Received on time, packaged was sealed nicely and deliveryman even took a picture of it on our front porch, which I found humorous. So far I've tested these speakers with my cell phone's headphone jack (Samsung s8) and with the 3.5mm headphone jack on my xbox s one controller, and the sound is pretty clear and crisp. I will say that for less than 10 bucks you definitely get what you pay for, but overall I'm quite pleased since I couldn't find anything equal the price or cheaper worth buying in my local Walmart. Haven't measured the distance between each speaker nor the length of the usb plug, but it isn't terribly long. I think resting these guys beside my computer monitor will be easier than on my shelving above, and I still have to test it with my CPU to see whether a)the usb will actually reach from beneath the desk, and b)if the sound quality is consistent with what I've experienced already. I will update my review later on for that. Also, if your monitor HAS a usb plug (mine does not because I opted for ips, dual hdmi, all under $200) these would he much easier to connect without too much hassle from the cord lengths. I'd say it's the standard length of a charging cable you get from the manufacturer with your smart phone. The major drawback with these is the slight popping and static you get in between listening. For instance, when watching a video or playing my games all I hear is my media, however in between silent moments, say after a video, there is a noticeable static or popping effect from these guys. Now I'll say again, I purchased these at $7.99 so I wasn't expecting to be blown away, and me being cheap I didn't really care since I splurged on a nice monitor with internal speakers and a decent headset for gaming already. I only bought these to amplify my computer experience in case my monitor speakers turned out to be crap, so for a worse case scenario these filled my needs and they are very much portable given the cube design. If you need some really nice speakers with perfect quality sound, and no feedback between playback, then I would reccomend a nicer quality product, probably worth more than 10 bucks tbh. However, if you're cheap like me and just want something to complete your gaming rig set that won't hurt your pocket too much, then these guys definitely get the job done. You can't beat $7.99 for something that does get very loud and has a decent amount of bass to it. I wouldn't recommend sitting too close though, that's just bad for your ear health!

I bought these speakers because I wanted to have some speakers that had more bass than my laptop speakers and these delivered above what I was actually expecting. I'm not an expert on amazing sounding speakers, but compared to my Beats laptop speakers, the sound quality on these speakers is much better and crisper. They are also smaller than I expected them to be. If you are looking for great sound quality in a small package at a reasonable price, I would highly recommend these. Great value for your money.

Tested out the 'bass.' That's the first thing I did. For less than $20 i will say these are the best mini speakers out there. Worth the buy. I go the orangey ones. 9/10 happy w/ em. 1/10 not bc they dont light up...haha wish they did, itd be so cool.
