This R&F Encaustic 333ml Impasto Modeling Wax combines microcrystalline (petroleum) waxes and beeswax. It is meant for sculptural use, and is not intended as a surface medium. Because the melting point of this Impasto is higher than that of encaustic paint, one can use encaustic paint over an Impasto shape without losing intricate details. It may also be used to build textural effects within encaustic paintings. Made in the USA.
