Is hp11 equivalent to sp11 batteries

Hi there, they are both C size batteries. OK, so one type should be better than the other. I will say one thing here, these Amazon batteries did me fine over the Christmas holiday with my outdoor lights. Put them in, 3, and they lasted all holiday. Will be using the others over Summer. If you need C cell then give these a try.
