24 Colour Spools Sewing All Purpose 100% Pure Cotton Thread Reel

Not as strong as polyester thread, but great for 100% cotton projects. I am quite heavy handed, so I have snapped the thread by accident a few times, but far less than I expected to while using pure cotton, as it is always going to be more fragile. Fairly strong, decent colour selection and excellent price. I love how fine this thread is, it has been excellent for my EPP hand quilting, very easy to hide my stitching.

Very pleased with this purchase. I was looking for a good selection of coloured threads without paying a fortune. There was a good variety of colours, pastel and bright to match up with most clothes for repair and to suit my needlework. Unlike the picture though the threads came on a plastic reel not cardboard as pictured which I feel is more sturdy. I don't use a sewing machine a lot, last time was over 7 years ago but I believe these would fit on a sewing machine since they are the same size as the few sewing machine reels I have. The ends of the threads are tucked underneath the thread and some were harder to find the start of than others but I didn't have to resort to cutting as some people did so hopefully that's not a problem anymore. With the cheap price I paid I was expecting that the quality of the thread wouldn't be great but I was pleasantly surprised. It was good strong cotton. I put it through a good stress test when I received them to check it out and it took a lot of effort to snap the thread so I'll definitely have to have my embroidery scissors choose to hand. I've not had any problems using this thread in my needlework, is been just as good as my more expensive gutermann thread. The only downside is that there is no slot to store the end of the thread when not being used but that's a really minor downside for 24 reels of thread. Will definitely purchase these again.

I bought these for my Mum as she spends a lot of time sewing on buttons and badges for her children and grandson (who are mostly sewing incapable) and was running out of colours. The colours were good as was the quality and she has been happy with them. You got quite a lot for your money and i would probably buy again should the need arise.

I have only just got round to testing these from all of the mixed reviews, the colour's are all nice but they are not at all 100% Pure Cotton Thread, but a mix of possibly cotton and polyester which is not what I was after, I tested every colour and they all burn and ball up like plastic, therefore the thread does contain some plastic like polyester, have attached a picture so can see the results of my test, I am not returning though as they are a nice strong thread so will find a use for them.

I've bought these twice now and very impressed. A good range of colours. Thread quality not as good as premium brands but good enough. I do a lot of quilting so get through a lot of thread and these don't break or snap in the machine like some other cheap options I've tried. Each reel fills just under 3 bobbins on my brother machine - just to give you some feel for quantity

not sure how robust for sewing machine dressmaking but freemason work they're ideal
