Surprised just how good this is
The Orbit travelling sprinkler is made to USA standards in common with most of these devices. You will have to find the appropriate adapters to use with UK standards but these are available on Amazon. At first I was a little disappointd by its range and speed but after fixing all the leaks it is capable of throwing water in about a 25ft diameter. It is critical to prevent leaks; the coverage went from about 12ft to about 25 ft after I used PTFE tabe on all the joints and removed the stop end from the hose connecter. Although the leaks were apparently relatively minor they were having a dramatic effect on performance.Take a little time to ensure that the maximum pressure that you tap has is transmitted to the sprinkler and, I think, you will be happy with your purchase. On the flat it travells well on both high and low speeds but my garden has a few slopes. I have not yet tried to get it to go up the slopes but I do not anticiapate any problems given that it can pull the hose behind it, but we shall see!.

Quality bit of kit
The media could not be loaded. Tried mine today for the first time..Out of the box the first impression is that this is a very substantial piece of equipment. It can spray water across a large variety of widths, purely by making an adjustment to the angle of the tubes.I found the best way to set the width of coverage was to either get someone to operate the water stopcock, or take a run into the spay, and get wet, then twist the arm so I could see where it would spay to.Don’t be confused about the type of spray. It doesn’t put out a mist, rather more of a solid spray, which by the very way it operates, will give you full coverage over your area. The shut off operated at the end of travel as it ran over the ramp, so in theory, you could leave this to run in attended.Only thing I would add is that if you intend to use a Hoseloc type connection, I’d recommend you buy a hoseloc x 3/4”male thread (preferably brass) connector at the same time as you buy it.My hose has a join in it, and the front wheel had no issues in passing over it.

Slower than seen in US, but I love it!
The media could not be loaded. This is certainly much slower than you will see in videos from America (they clearly have way better water pressure than the UK - plus the pressure on our garden tap is really low/bad for the UK too!) - however, for me it has been working really well. Please see my video for the speed we’re getting - this is nothing like US YouTube videos where it spins so fast it’s a blur!As another UK review suggested, I only have this on the high setting (low is pointless) and while it does take ages to get around, our lawn is getting a decent soak and it has been flawless so far - only getting stuck when I didn’t allow enough room (near a trampoline).I always leave one arm set flat (to make it spin as fast as possible) and either have the other the same or pointing a little higher (for wider coverage) - this does mean you have different coverage (more water closer to sprinkler), but this has worked great for me.I’ve been surprised how well it turns, after hearing others had issues here (I try to make sure the turns gradual, but it seems to always navigate theSr perfectly). I’ve also never had an issue with it not stopping after going over the ramp. I may be having more luck as I’m using a fairly thin hose (12.5mm) and it seems to be happy dragging many metres of this too (over 60m so far) This has been a great buy, so much better than manually hosing the lawn or having to move a sprinkler every 30 minutes (or longer due to our rubbish water pressure!).

A quality product
I have 1,200 sq m of grass so moving a normal garden sprinkler would be a full time job. With this, I need to re set it only twice and it looks after itself all other times. It also stops the water flow when it rides up a little ramp and the plunger underneath is activated. Only thing stopping me giving it full marks is this doesn’t always work. On the whole, very pleased and would highly recommend it.

Don't buy it
Product arrived in a timely manner and looks well built but it doesn't work, the wheels do not move, the sprinkler works fine but the unit does not move. I put the body on a block to allow the wheels to move freely but nothing. Because it comes from the USA I have to find a courier to send it and I am just a private individual. so don't buy this and be careful when things are sourced from abroad. Very dissappointed.
