The results speak for themselves.
As much criticism i see on here for there being a cheap set (does that matter?) or not having enough space in your house, i have been working with the method for a while and i LOVE this dvd. my living room is tiny, but there are ways of making space for the routines - don't jump as far, or do the walking on the spot. This has had no effect on my results and after doing about 4 or 5 hours spread out over a week, my muscles were already changed. Weirdly, it was my knees that were the first noticeable thing! People have commented on how much thinner i look, and i feel so much more confident. Tracy may seem a little straight faced at times, or it may take a while for you to learn the moves, but it is definitely worth it. This is the kind of thing i would keep a secret from my friends, because i want it all to myself!

Ok, but content is not as good as the original workout
I agree with others that this DVD should be a prequel for the dance cardio workout from 2008 (Madonna & Gwyneth's Personal Trainer - The Tracy Anderson Method Dance Cardio Workout ) for the following reasons : 1) The choreography is easier for a beginner to follow, 2) Only 4 workouts as opposed to 8, 3) No instructions during warm-up, 4) The set looks cheap compared to the original. Since I have been using the original dance DVD, I was a little disappointed. I was hoping that Tracy would release a follow-on DVD that is just as intense as the original workout with equally challenging choreography, but improve on the format based on previous criticisms/feedback (e.g. improve on teaching method - to announce changes in moves during warm-up session, inconsistency between breakdown and up-to-speed routines, add cool down segment etc.). The routines are still enjoyable, but below my expectations. In addition, I cannot help but feel that the other instructors featured in this DVD may be better suited to teach and present on exercise DVDs compared to Tracy, particularly the second instructor, who has more charisma (connect better with the audience and more motivational). Sometimes, Tracy seems to be lost in her own world and dancing for herself (particularly in the original DVD) and forgets that she has made the DVD for others. Thus my recommendation is that if you have not tried Tracy's dance workout before and you enjoy dance exercise routines, then start with this DVD. If you enjoy it, then slowly build up to the Tracy Anderson Dance Workout DVD (2008). If you already own the 2008 DVD and have mastered the routines in the DVD, then do not set your expectations to high if you intend to buy this DVD.

Good for a quick workout
There is no denying that Tracy is a bit of a misery but I do enjoy her workouts and quite like not having to listen to the same jokes constantly. This morning is a nice break from just Tracy as I enjoyed the routines contributed by the 3 other instructors.I didn’t think the choreography was as complicated as her dance cardio and was able to pick up the routines fairly quickly. It’s not a long workout but definitely works up a good sweat

Prefer the original Dance Cardio and Mat workouts to this ...
I've been using Tracy's DVD's for the last approx 3 months very regularly and have noticed a definite change to my muscle structure (I have some at last!!) and fitness, and when I saw this DVD was coming out I jumped on it for a little variation. After having tried twice to struggle through it I've come to the following conclusions:1. Tracy's not very good at warm-ups. They're not great in her Dance Cardio or Mat workouts either but this has to be the worst of the bunch, my heart rate had barely risen at all after this one2. I learn better when viewing from the back. Which isn't an option in this DVD while it is in the Dance Cardio one. I can mirror the Mat DVD workout easily, but have real problems trying to work it out on the Total Cardio one. From a personal point of view, I'd recommend anybody wanting to try a Tracy Anderson DVD start with the Mat workout (which is brilliant) and anybody who learns better by viewing from the back should start off with the Dance Cardio video. This one was something of a disappointment.(Slightly shallow observation here as well but I wish to God that Tracy didn't look so miserable on the cover of the DVD! She's always much more cheerful in the workouts themselves and looks so much more natural than the pouty figures she presents on her DVD covers.)

Love it
I really enjoy this workout DVD. It has four ladies teaching you a high energy workout based on different dance routines. It's so much fun and makes you sweat!

OK if you have the time
I had already bought the Mat workout a few weeks previous to buying this and hoped it would help give me an all encompassing training programme. I was ready to see results as Tracy says. The aerobic workout really makes you sweat, the 4 different dances are great once you learn them, which you do after a couple of plays (a bit daunting at first). I did one of the workouts 5 days a week, alternating between the two workouts. I've done this for the past 4 weeks and lost 2.5lbs, I expected to loose more as the workouts are 1hr for the matt one and 50 mins for the cardio one, which is more than my usual 35min power walk. I found it really hard to fit in these dvds after work each day and it did feel like my life revolved around them! After 4 weeks I did feel a bit slimmer but don't feel my shape has changed as much as was promised. I think from now on i'll go back to my more varied workout regime,(power walking, stepping, cycling, floor exercises) and work Tracy's DVD's in twice a week perhaps, just to add variety to my workouts.

Not suitable for all
This DVD says it's suitable for all - however it is not! There is a lot of jumping and is not suitable for anyone who has joint problems and/or have more that 2 stone to lose! Was a waste of money!
