Nice riff on the Legendary card game, and fun take on the show
If you like deck-building games in general, and/or the Marvel Legendary DBG, this is another excellent game night option. If you like the Buffy The Vampire Slayer series, this is an outstanding translation of that show's characters and tropes into a game. It's definitely more enjoyable if you're at least familiar with the show and its main characters, but you can play it knowing nothing and still have a great time. It's also a co-operative game -- there's only one "winner" if you want to use the optional rule -- which fits the theme of the show and makes for a fun "let's beat the bad guy together" kind of experience. Highly recommended.

Fun game with minor mistakes
I found this game fun and fairly easy to play EXCEPT FOR THE SUGGESTED FIRST GAME SET-UP. Also, there are typos and misspellings in the instructions, cards, and game mat. Weird thing for what seems to be an otherwise well thought out game with high-quality components. The game has a random set-up and I think certain combinations are impossible and some are too easy. The mat is nice (-typos) and the game has plenty of variety and nastalga.

Very good game.
Game is a little involved and takes a little getting used to (even if you're already a fan of the Legendary series) but it's a lot of fun and has a lot of really fun references for fans of the show, but can also be fun for those who have never seen a single episode (we've played with both). The game board itself is different than the other titles I've played, as instead of being a folded cardboard, its a rolled up mat that feels kind of like old school mouse pads. At first i thought this was lame but it quickly grew on me and I'd actually welcome more hame boards of the same style. All and all it is very well done and I love it.

Great fun for fans of the show
Long time fan of the Legendary (Encounters) series. This was my latest addition to my collection, not the best, but great fun. The only downside is that the original rules for solo play need some adjustments to make the game more challenging.

Even single player can be enjoyable
Legendary deck building is a fun game, even for a single person, but can take a while to setup and takedown. The Buffy release is great! Has all the characters you would hope to see.

I'm absolutely OBSESSED
I love this game. I can play by myself (I play 3 people, so the game moves along, and it is SO MUCH FUN.)I love Buffy and this is just perfect. The game mechanics are typical for deck-building games. Board Game Geek (website) has a rules/questions forum that will clarify any issues that come up in play, if you have them.I think I've played about 1000 times since I bought this in the summer and I am still not bored. Every game is different, every time is different. There are so many combos that you cannot possibly do them all.I did sleeve the cards (Dragon Shield) because I was playing so much and didn't want to ruin the game. I would add dice to keep track of certain numbers that come up that are part of play, but anyone who buys this game should have dice in their house, so no big deal.In summary: if you love Buffy and love deck-building, then this is the game for you!

Fun for a fan
I've played the Legendary Marvel game many times. This isn't much different. Learning the new cards has been fun. Nothing seems unbalanced. The best part of this game though is the card art, and names. I can recall which episode each picture comes from. And the names are all very appropriate, and fun. If you are a fan of Buffy, and like card games, I highly recommend.

PHENOMENAL!!!
Got it for my spouse and she is already hooked and has been playing the crap out of it. She's been a massive Buffy fan since she was little and adores deck builder games; so this was just the icing on the cake for her! Would recommend to any fan of either and it just makes us want to check out the other Upper-Deck Legendary versions.
