Easy to install and remotely manage smoke alarms
Great product easy to use and set up. I’ve installed two of these now. The delivery on this occasion took a week which was long and left things tight for installing them on a fixed prearranged date but I still like the product, which is great if you have elderly or vulnerable relatives as you can monitor and test the setup remotely using the app and shared access to keep an eye on things. The fact the smoke alarms are all wirelessly interconnected is a huge improvement on the level of protection previously in place. Took in it half an hour to install the full pack of three smoke alarms and the base unit (hub). I would recommend this to anyone wanting battery interconnected smoke alarms. The extra units available mean this is scalable and can include carbon monoxide detection and heat alarms for kitchen areas too. Great piece of kit but not compliant for rental properties as they’re not mains connected sadly.

2 + years of peace of mind, BUT beware of steam from bathroom :)
Was looking for a while to replace my old smoke alarms. So happy I found this product. Turned out so good that I've added also water leak alarms to my setup - all conveniently managed through the same app. Key points: Good stuff: - Very easy DIY install - They work. I've tested them myself and they pick up smoke. But...not only :) see below. - Super convenient. You will know if something happens even if you are not home, at work or holidays. This was you can ask some friend or neighbours to double check and silence from the app too, if needed. - Simple but functional. You can select both the alarm volume and one of 3 alarm tones. Also, you can set the location for each of the alarms. It can be actually super helpful as sometimes trough the noise it might be hard to identify initially which alarm went off and would be impossible at all if you're not at home. - Good connectivity. We have 3 floors and all alarms show full connectivity bars throughout the house. TO NOTE: - They react also to steam from the bathroom from example or it might happen to you if it's in the kitchen, somewhere not far from hob or dishwasher. This was a surprise to me - a loud and unexpected surprise but I later found out that most smoke alarms are prone to this, both photoelectric or ionisation types - is this because they can't really make the difference or analyse the smoke/steam composition - when smoke or steam enters the internal chamber - it interrupts the light beam so triggers the alarm. So be mindful of this and install the alarms strategically. - Because of the above - my mom had the same unexpected surprise due to the steam from the bathroom. Worse and still unclear was the fact that she was at home alone with our 4 year old son when it happened, while we've been at a wedding. For some reason, in that particular instance I did not receive an app notification => thus I was not able to shut it down. Good my mother used some old school ingeniosity and just hit it off the ceiling so that the batteries flew of it :D Overall I am happy with this system, it's TUV certified and in my opinion it provides great value for your money as well as convenience and control. Stay well and safe friends! Cheers!

Beautiful addition to my X-Sense ecosystems
I've tried a bunch of home safety systems over the years, but the X-Sense Carbon Monoxide Alarm System is seriously next level. If you're looking for something that's super well-made, easy to use, and really accessible, this is it. Right out of the box, you can tell these things are quality. They're not those cheap, flimsy plastic alarms; these feel solid, premium, and built to last. The design is slick and modern, but the weight and finish of the hardware just scream reliability. Just like with the smoke alarm, this was another super easy setup. As someone with dexterity issues, I'm usually nervous about "smart" gadgets that need tiny buttons or complicated mounting. This whole system is such a relief. It's incredibly easy to set up, barely needing any physical effort. X-Sense clearly thought about making the installation and pairing process easy for everyone. The app is just brilliant – clean, responsive, and super easy to get around. It makes keeping an eye on your home's safety effortless, no matter where you are. But the real cool part is the Wi-Fi ecosystem. Since the base station (SBS50) makes such a stable, connected network, I've already added more to my setup. I've successfully hooked up this Carbon Monoxide meter to my smoke alarm system and 4 hygrometers (perfect for checking out specific room conditions). The English voice alerts are a fantastic touch, so you don't have to guess "which alarm is going off" when things are stressful, as it tells you the exact location (up to 17 spots!). I'm so impressed with this system that as soon as I save up a bit more cash, I'm adding the full X-Sense House Alarm to it. If you want a smart home Carbon Monoxide detector that actually works for you and gives you real peace of mind, seriously, look no further.

Excellent System
Installed the day they arrived. Straightforward to set up. I was a bit sceptical of the benefits of the WiFi enabled app connectivity but having installed and tested the app, I am sold on it! You have to plug in the base station that comes with alarms and connect this to your WiFi through the app. Very straightforward. Once the base station is installed you connect each of the smoke alarms. Again this was fast, and straightforward. The app allows you to test the alarms individually and even run a fire drill test for a specified time period. The main advantage though, which hopefully I will never experience, is that app will notify you of an alarm when you are away from home. The app is also meant to inform you when batteries need changing. You have the option to connect other devices from the supplier to the same base station, such as a CO monitor. Overall, extremely pleased with purchase. Units look good - very compact and unobtrusive; the system was very easy to set up and all the alarms are interlinked. I purchased this system after my original "interlinked" system from Amazon just would not link. If you are looking for interlinked smoke alarms, then this is great option and it does actually work as advertised so no risk to you!

Great system
It's a good system but it keeps throwing errors unfortunately, Reasonable price, fit, size and installation, loud and somewhat functional, just one of the unit keep saying error and failing and I have tried replacing batteries etc day one of having it.

Excellent modern update of our expired smoke detector system
With several smoke alarms in our house, all at their end of life, it became difficult to tell which one was emitting a 'low battery' alarm beep. It turned out that even with fresh batteries some continued to beep - this was when we notice they all had stickers giving there expiry date. They had been fitted over 10 -years ago! on researching the current systems available, I chose this wireless interconnected, wifi enabled system from X-Sense. These XS01-M detectors each connect wirelessly to the included SBS50 hub, which in turn connects to the wifi. The wireless connection between each device is completely independent of the wifi, and ensures that if one detector is activated all of the detectors in the system will also activate their alarm. Even if the power to the hub fails, the wireless interconnectivity remains. The wifi function is purely for convenience of identifying each device's battery state and signal strength, and also allows each detector to be remotely tested. When any device is tested, it records the date , time and status of the test. The detector devices themselves are much smaller than our original ones - just 8mm in diameter. A small mounting plate is screwed to the ceiling (mounting screws and plasterboard plugs are included). The detector then twist locks onto the plate. They each feel very solid and well made. I'm very pleased with the system so far. Setting up the system with the app was very easy, and adding each device was very straight forward. I also added a compatible Carbon Monoxide detector. Additional smoke detectors are very reasonably priced and can be added very easily.

Great devices
Very easy to set up, good app. I incorrectly tested these devices believing them to be inoperable. However, they do work perfectly as intended when tested properly, in my case using a can of smoke alarm testing spray. All devices triggered within seconds of each other, the base unit also alarming. The app notified instantly of an issue in the room being tested. Very pleased.

Good system - setting up on two phones
These are nice and small and I am very pleased with them especially as they were on a special offer when I was looking for smoke alarms. Wanted one to put into a garden room that would sound in the house as well as the garden room. These alarms do that, if one goes off they all sound and the base station too; also get a notification on the app of which alarm has gone off. Very easy to test as can do this from the app. I also did a smoke test using a candle blown out and let smoke into the alarm; set it off very loud! Follow the step by step instructions and they are easy to set up. Have one in the loft and one in garage; very useful system if you want to alarm remote areas of property. Also bought two water detectors and these were easy to add to the system. Only a few pounds each so good value. Have one by dishwasher and one by washing machine as these have the flexible hose and are the most vulnerable parts of water system. Gives peace of mind. They notify the phones if a problem and the base station sounds too. The manual does not tell you how to link two phones to system. You cannot both use the same account and password as it will automatically log out one phone. After a bit of searching found a post on the internet and set up two accounts that are linked so now both my and wife’s phone get the alerts. This is what I found on the net, “You can't both use the same login. Go into the app and select device sharing then send an invite to the email of the person you want to share with. They will need to create their own login. They will then have access to the smoke alarms. Hope this helps. By TechHead in the United Kingdom on 03 April 2024." On my system – go to the base station settings, then “Device Sharing”; click to put a tick against the items you want to share and enter email address of person you want to share with. They will get the email and it’s just a case of follow the instructions to set up their account which will link to the base station once they download the app and log in both phones will then get notifications.
