powerful and bombastic atmosphere, as we know of CBP

Superb! CBP at their best....
Justin Greaves and the gang deliver another great album! One of their best, which is quiet an achievement given the already impressive back catalogue. I still don't get why this band aren't bigger? Totally underrated (I mean, why do Anathema get sooo much hyperbole?) Anyway, I digress... just buy this album! And make sure it's the deluxe version, the bonus tracks are a must...

Possibly their best album so far.
Fairly slow despatch and delivery but fortunately that was compensated for by good music and sound quality.

Fantastic album from Crippled Black Phoenix, couldn't recommend it more. The vinyl is gorgeous too.

A fitting soundtrack to a Dark year
2016 will be remembered as a dark year. The departure of Britain from the EU, the election of Trump in the States the continuing troubles in Syria to name but three "dark" events. Bronze plays like a "dark soundtrack" for this dark year. Indeed no one does Dark quite so well as CBP. For 10+ years Justin Greaves and assorted support vocalists and musicians have been cranking out album after album of intelligent, beautiful music that embrace dark themes in a gloriously uplifting manner. Bronze is the latest opus and also one of their best. Some are saying "the best". That is some claim given the immensity of albums such as Mankind, the Craft Ape and The Reserecutionists. On Bronze we get 10 new tracks spread over 4 sides of beautiful heavy weight vinyl wrapped once more in a very striking cover by Mathew Dunn. If you bought early and got the silver vinyl edition it included an extra 2 tracks on a "bonus" single. I guess these might be on the CD (who buys CD's these days?). With track titles such as "Dead Imperial Bastard", "No Fun" and "We are the Darkaners", the casual listener may expect some form of Death Metal album. Nothing can be father from the truth. CBP sit closer to Pink Floyd than anything else that I can think of. A Dark Floyd of course that conjures up Dogs from Animals or bits and pieces from The Wall. Surprisingly the two original tracks released on the New Dark Age tour EP of 2015 don't appear on Bronze, though are in a similar vein and should be played at the same "listening" to close out the Dark experience. I just caught the band live in Greece playing a mixture of new and old songs. Do yourself a favour - grab Bronze, immerse yourself in this intelligent, unique album and then hurry along to a gig near you and soak up the sound live. CMP - the best British Rock Band of the last decade. Criminally ignored.
