Flipcut Central Vacuum Pipe Cutter for 2 inch PVC Pipe

I was surprised at how light it is. Also, I like the fact that you get a second razor with it.

The blade digs into the pipe and it is impossible to continue the cut. The adjustment screw (made of soft plastic) does not change performance. It seems as if the manufacturer had no expectation this device would work. No name brand, no manufacturer name, not even a country of origin. I expected something that was difficult to use, but even by that low standard this device is worthless. The people who were able to make it run--more power to them, I guess I have a later production run.

I bought this for a DIY central vac installation project in my new home and it was exactly what I needed. I've used other PVC cutters in the past for things like irrigation installs and this tool is so much easier to use and cuts so much cleaner than any other similar tool I've used. The project would have taken hours longer had I not had this tool.

Horrible cut when it does decide to cut. No amount of adjustment of screw or blade improves its performance. I have used other brands in the past without issue but this one isn’t worth the time or money.

This is a little work horse! Used it to install our central vac system; made the job a breeze cutting the pvc pipe quickly & cleanly.

Works as advertised

I am not a contract professional, so there was obviously a bigger learning curve here. I bought 2" PVC pipe at Home Depot to use for legs on a work table I am building for very little cost - the whole point. Home Depot cut the PVC pipe for me and did the most horrific job. So I went online to learn about PVC cutters. (I have one that cuts 1" and it works fine.) There doesn't seem to be a decent cutter out there. But this one seemed very promising. Now pay attention here: IT DOESN'T FIT MY PIPE! The caps that I bought online fit and they are for 2" PVC pipe. All the other pieces I bought fit 2" PVC pipe, but this does not. The 2" pipe that have is 2" on the OUTSIDE, but this thing seems to fit the inside measurement. Why do I give a crap about the inside measurement when I'm cutting THE OUTSIDE? I am so annoyed. I spent a long time trying to purchase the perfect cutter only to found out that it won't fit.
