Sugru Mouldable Glue - Original Formula - All-Purpose Adhesive, Advanced Silicone Technology - Holds up to 2 kg - Black, White & Grey 3-Pack

We accidentally chipped the edge of a new induction hob and I was expecting to have to replace it. I bought this on the off-chance it might make a temporary repair. It’s done the job so well that I don’t anticipate replacing the hob. Another bit repaired a split iPhone cable quite successfully, although it was less effective repairing broken glasses (it’s been a bad month). It’s a little expensive and, once a pack has been opened it soon cures so it all has to be used at once. That said, they are small packs so little is wasted. It isn’t cheap, though, so I tried to use what I could.

Sugru is great for fixing things to walls which is mainly what I use it for. As it sets like rubber you could do other things with it like protecting cable ends that are fraying, hold some electrical components in place if you are working on a project, stick stuff on in your car and so on.If you need to remove it, then it comes off pretty easily. The colour of the glue does tend to slightly stain things so try and match it where you can i.e. white for a white wall, grey for a grey car dash. I find it easiest to remove the stuff with a little plastic scraper then wipe off the remaining outline with some cleaning fluid. Do be aware though that if you use this on a plaster wall then it WILL remove the paint when you try to take it off.I've used it in all sorts of conditions, it takes a good 24 hours to set under 20 degrees C, but in a warmer environment you'll find it sets much quicker, just don't move it in that first day and you'll be fine.

Very useful for jobs where other products don’t work. This is my second sugru purchase having bought a pack 3 or 4 years ago when it first appeared on Amazon. The jobs it’s good at fixing don’t crop up often in my household so I used a couple of packs when I first bought it and put the rest away until the next ‘rainy day repair’. That was last week when I needed a product to stick to a flat switch and build it up into a button so that my aged mother could use it. Unfortunately the pack I bought previously was a couple of years beyond the use by date. I tried it but it had turned ‘oily’ and wouldn’t mould as it should. I therefore ordered another pack which through Prime arrived the next day. Worked a treat on the job I wanted it for. This time I bought a pack of three instead of 7 as I probably won’t have another use for sugru until this pack has run out of code. My suggestion therefore is buy the small back (good for at least theee repairs (and O amanged two small projects out of one of the three sachets. A tube of glue you expect to last a lifetime, like a can of WD40. Sugru doesn’t, so only buy as much as you need.

I love this product. It's easy to use and with a bit of practice produces some fantastic results.I used it to rebuild a trainer sole that was damaged in the washing machine.On the downside, it's expensive for the small amount that you receive, and I'm going to have to order another pack to finish the repair.. Still cheaper than a new pair of training shoes though.Also, make sure you have enough jobs ready to do before opening a pack up, as anything you don't use will harden and be wasted.Great product though..

Some honest person had knocked my wing mirror off in a public car park.My car being a fairly modern second hand model with retracting mirrors, I have to say I was quite upset. A proper repair meant over £100 for a used replacement and a lot of door card removal work.I eventually realised that as the cabling was intact, was I simply to disable the mirror retraction motor and adhere the mirror back on with some substance capable enough, then I would still keep the remote view adjustment and the heat demister function..The loss of the retraction of the mirror seemed not worth the replacement cost and hassle, so I looked for a substance up to the job of simply gluing it back on..The break had ocurred at a greased metal cam point at which the mirror retracted into its open and closed position, the cabling to the mirror internals running through the middle.Looking at all the options (and discounting most as unlikely to last), I came across Sugru and decided to give it a try despite being 50/50 as to its success..The greasy metallic points at which the adhesion would have to take place obviously needed cleaning with a substance that left no residue. I chose pure acetone as it leaves zero residue and was ok applied carefully to the metal surface. Had the adhesion point been plastic (which acetone will quickly melt) I'd have gone for surgical spirit...Once cleaned completely, I used an entire sachet of the Sugru as instructed and held the mirror in place tightly for 24 hours by binding the adhesion point together with wound and tied bungee cord.The result???3 months on and two trips with a large towing mirror mounted to it, and it's still very solid...I say solid, but in fact the Sugru leaves a slightly elastic bond that is perceptible when applying any pressure to the end if the mirror..As budding scientists will know, structures capable of slight movement are more resilient and less liable to breakage, an element worth considering when considering if Sugru is appropriate for any individual fix...I am extremely pleased with the result and with this substance in general..That was a bit of a long winded review, but hope it gives someone needing it a little insight into how useful this stuff can be and its possibilities...I am reasonably sure no other substance would have worked as well for this particular fix, and so recommend it unreservedly. :)Ps: I feel pretty sure most of the reports of failure of this product are due to inappropriate application or poor surface preparation...

I don't know if I used it wrong or not but the first lot I used didn't work it cracked and broke apart didn't workI then used another batch of the grey and left it from much much longer I don't know if there is grease on the first or that didn't make it work properly but the second lot work fine.However it did not dry straight as it is not that rigid

I have used sugru for a couple of projects and although there are a few types of glue like this now I keep coming back because I know that it works. This time I broke a little tiny piece of plastic on my printer that pushes a sensor down so that it knows the top is closed and it’s safe to print. I thought I was going to have to throw my printer out but thought it was worth the money to try to save it with sugru, and it was! It worked great and my printer prints again!! Hooray! These little packets have enough in them for most projects. Before I have used them to fix cords, chargers (phone and my cord for my laptop) and some other things!

This product is amazing...easy to use and shape the way you like and it has a smooth finish. Holds well. Used it on my work swipe card that always breaks...not a problem now.

Ho utilizzato questo prodotto per due differenti scopi. Il primo, quello di riparare il filo dei miei auricolari, che era ridotto veramente male, il secondo, per creare una sorta di "piede di appoggio" per il joystick della playstation di mio marito.In entrambi i casi sugru si è dimostrato all'altezza, altamente modellabile nella prima fase e poi tremendamente resistente.Mai più senza!

Ich habe es für das Gitter meines Geschirrspülers gekauft, da dieser an einer Stelle aufgeplatzt und verrostet ist.Das Anbringen ist leicht. Wie eine Knetmasse Formen und Anbringen. Glattstreichen und laut Angaben trocken lassen.Nach dem Aushärten war alles repariert und man kann den Geschirrspüler wie gewohnt benutzen.Top Produkt!
