What a poorly designed POS! Take heed. Avoid at all costs! Newer model is same design.
Purchased May 2023. Bought to save money on calling professional drain cleaner once a year. First use: Followed all instructions to the letter. Sent down drain pipe about 75 feet in. Cleared the obstruction with no issue. Everything working, all good... or so I thought. Reeling cable back in. Seeming to take forever. Reverse it. Send it back out a bit. Found it wasn't reeling in after a certain point, just spinning in place. Pulled the cable out of the pipe by hand just so I could button everything back up. Had to clean the cable anyway. So figured I'd pull it out again. clean it off and reel it back in. Stuck with about 30 feet or so hanging out. No matter what I do, cannot reel all back in.Now, Feb 2024. Another blockage. You guessed it. Unusable. Can't send the cable down the pipe. Winds up and binds as I have 30 feet of cable to try to send down the pipe. Can only push so far in/down by hand. Waste of more money. Now back to calling professional drain cleaner

manuafacture defect
The 100 ft cable was misthreaded. Forward ran in reverse and reverse ran forward. Caused damage to my index finger and back from twisting of the cable. I returned it on 11 Feb. and today is 25 Feb, Amazon has not started the refund process yet even thougy ups shows delivery to them on 15 Feb. My only optiont will be to dispute the charge on my credit card.

Do not buy if you’re a professional
Been clearing drains for 10 years. I convinced the owners of my plumbing company to buy 2 of these. Seemed to have everything I wanted in a sewer snake.First time I used it the cable binded up as soon as I hit any resistance. Spent 3 hours taking it apart. Went back to the same house and again binded up immediately making it inoperable.Tried a few more times and to no avail the same issue on both snakes. I have probably spent 15 hours trying to get this snake to work.Did we give up there? No. We though it had to be the cables. So got a nice cable that basically cost more than the snake and again the same issue.These snakes have been completely unusable for even one job.

Motor Failure on first use
Purchased for a single drain line needing cleared every 2-3 years. Unit arived damaged from shipping ( 1 wheel rim was crushed. I was able to repair enough to get the equipment to roll with a limp.Motor mount seemed to be very sloppy, after using for about 30 minutes the motor bearings seized and would not rotate unless I removed the belt for the cable drum.
