Stortz & Bickle Volcano Plastic Herb Grinder, 2.3, Orange

Fantastic!! Grinds herbs well, easy to use, perfect size for cutlery draws/bags/pockets ... I've been using it everyday for cooking and it's still working! definitely worth the money. will be buying another soon!

This is the most expensive plastic grinder I’ve purchased (and it’s not even that expensive) and I just want to say WHAT VALUE FOR MONEY! This is the best grinder I’ve ever had, it’s so seamless to use and smooth. Doesn’t take much to clean and keep durable, the only downside is that the centre is not magnetised but that’s not even much of a downside, just remember to hold onto both sides. EDIT: had this grinder for 4 and a half years now and only now have I needed to buy a new one as the old one has gotten blunt and build up I can’t clean. But 4 and a half years!! Stand by it being the best grinder out there. It’s also been used literally daily, multiple times a day.

GIFTED GRINDER OF 5YEAR USE @ THE TOP BAND NEW UN-USED AT THE BOTTOM. Best grinder I've ever used grinds herbs finely so you can get a smooth burn also does soo with minimal effort. Obnoxious colour but what the hell it's cool. (This was given to me as a gift used) and i used it once or twice after as it was a gift and dude this thing was dopee to the point that i gave away my old grinders and replaced them with this one. So I bought 2 and cleaned out the gifted one and put it away. If this where to get gunked up due to me grinding wet herbs I'd simply buy a new one as cleaning it with hot water warps the teeth and blunts them which makes it defective and doing so with a knife is time consuming and scratches up the grinder, soo ill just continuously re purchase this for life, I may even buy another 10 just incase they get discontinued (we all know how annoying it is when a great product gets discontinued due to its age) i hope this was helpful

I have been grinding herbs for over 30 years, and after chunks started breaking off from my previous plastic grinder - which I had been using for several years - I decided that it was time for a new one. I wanted a plastic grinder due to the light weight and ease of carrying around, and this one from Storz & Bickel caught my attention. After placing my order it arrived the next day. My first impression was positive - some thought had obviously been given to the design, and its reflective orange colour and smooth serrated edges give it a slightly futuristic look. The plastic is thick and appears sturdy, and apart from the shark teeth there are no sharp edges and none of the burrs that result from sloppy machining or moulding. I placed some smelly oregano in the grinding chamber, and although the herbs were slightly stringy and could have done with curing for another day or two, just by applying a few twists it became completely shredded with ease and very little resistance. As others have already noted, the grinding mechanism is completely smooth and I was very impressed. After reading other reviews i was hoping that the two halves would stay together to some extent if some care is taken. But unfortunately there is no way that the grinder can be placed in a bag or any other position other than horizontally without both parts becoming separated, and the only way for the parts to stay together when it is transported is to either use an elastic band or buy / sew a snug fitting pouch for it. For me that defeats the purpose of an item that is meant to be portable, even though the lack of magnets does mean that it grinds better than many other models. My other gripe is that the plastic that is used seems to facilitate the build up of static, so that pieces of herb will easily stick to the inside of the grinding chamber, and have to be removed with a brush. This never happened with any of my previous grinders, where bits of plant matter would only occasionally become physically lodged between the teeth. And although the transparent screen can be placed on either end of the grinder where it sits securely, it would have been nice to have a second screen for capping both ends, and having two separate compartments for different types of ground plant matter. As a result, I have decided that this grinder is not suited for carrying around, as I would just like to be able to carry it in a pocket without the hassle of having to unwrap elastic bands or removing it from a carrying pouch each time I use it. It will have its place as a tabletop grinder though, until I have decided on a metal one that is better suited for my needs and which doesn't require a brush to remove all the content. I am sure that i will find someone who isn't as fussy as I am and who will appreciate it as a gift, as it really is a good grinder which just happens to not quite suit all my personal requirements.

Used with married iguanas and gave a great consistency, packed it in now but it went until the bitter end and was gifted to a friend and is still going strong.

Grinds my MC up really well, really sharp teeth, so grinds down well and doesn’t just spin it around for fun, if you know what I mean! I’ve kept the box, cus there’s no magnet and if I’ve still a bit left in there I don’t want it to pop open, so I put it back in the box. Was a little smaller than I expected but it’s not super tiny! All in all, fab little grinder with quick delivery, would recommend 💚

Why did you choose this product over others?: Good product , however after a few uses the grinder does seem to stiffen up as particles/debris get caught up between the two parts. It requires more frequent cleaning unfortunately.

Mrs, wanted one of these as she uses the company’s vape. She says it’s better than a normal one as it grinds very fine.

Permet vraiment un broyage fin. Le petit compartiment pour stocker ponctuellement des herbes non broyées est appréciable (pour mettre un contenu déjà mouliné c'est moins pratique)

I've owned a lot of herb grinders, and until I bought this one, my favorite was a Mendo Mulcher made of a solid aluminum billet. But this inexpensive grinder absolutely outperforms any other grinder I've purchased. I buy a bunch and give them away I like it so much, and they're that inexpensive. It has a built in storage area for extra grind, and is transparent so you can see how finely ground the herb is without even opening it. It shreds it down perfect for my Pax or my Volcano. Great grinder. HOWEVER - this "StorTz" and Bickle may not be an original, and they are less than 5 bucks on the company web sight, so maybe don't purchase it here...

Great at first but sucks when resin builds up. Sure, you're supposed to wash it in some alcohol then or something, but few manage to do that. I feel like metallic grinders allows you to push past the resin that builds up, but with this grinder my hand can hurt like hell when I try to force it.

Ottima fattura, non mi aspettavo diversamente dalla ditta che produce i Vulcano. Unica pecca la mancanza di un piccolo magnete centrale che supporti la chiusura.
