A good live band.
Aerosmith are better live than on record, that's why I purchased this video. I have only 2 Aerosmith CD's (at the moment); 'Greatest Hits' and 'Classics Live Complete', I listen to the latter the most, It has all the best songs A-Smithdid in the 70's.That is where I find fault with this video, songs like "Kings and Queens", "Last Child", "Back In The Saddle" and even my fave Aero song "Dream On"aren't included. There's too much footage over the earlier songs, It's like watching Top Of The Pops. It's only 45 minutes long.I don't like Ted Nugent. But I do enjoy watchin' the classics "Walk This Way" and "Sweet Emotion" being belted out, "Draw The Line" is a good song to watch live. But on "Same Old Song And Dance" Steve Tylers' lips don't match with the soundtrack. In conclusion if you have to watch as well as listen to Aerosmith this is a nice price for 45 mins of true swaggerin' Aerosmith style.

My new favourite concert
The best Aerosmith 1970's era concert I've ever seen - other than their difficult to find performance at Cal Jam 2, which took place March of the same year - just a few months before Texxas Jam '78. Aerosmith Live Texxas Jam '78 sound and video are excellent for the 1970's. No complaints here. Worth every last dime I paid to own a copy of this classic concert. I've been a huge Aerosmith fam since 1977 .. and this is one of the truest to form, best classic rock concerts I've ever seen. To its credit, this is also a concert video with very few interviews or extras, but worth it to have full versions of these classic songs ... without the irritating editing of more recent Aerosmith (etc) DVDs where they interrupt the songs constantly with interview clips, etc. Pure gritty 1970's American hard rock at it's very best!DVD SETLIST:-Rats in the Cellar-Seasons of Wither-I Wanna Know Why-Walkin' the Dog-Walk this Way-Lick and a Promise-Get the Lead Out-Draw the Line-Sweet Emotion-Same Old Song and Dance-Milk Cow Blues-Toys in the Attic

Rock-n-Roll at its finest!
What a great show this would have been to attend. There are no finer performers than Aerosmith. This show kicks ass. The only thing that could have made the tape better is if they had just let the cameras roll, limited the editing and given more behind the scene footage.I've noticed a few reviews on Amazon mention how Tyler "royally screwed up on the lyrics of songs"(barbara smith knows who I'm talkin about). What the hell is she crowing about? Here's one of the biggest talents in the history of rock in rare form and gettin' it done. Tyler is riffin' and rollin'. Let him do his thing.Someone else named MG wrote "where's Joe?" and called the tape a disappointment. I would call him a disappoinment claiming he even knows who Joe Perry is. The kid should be pistol whipped and dragged by mule through the streets of Boston. Joe Perry is rockin' 150,000 fans and is part of the reason it was the hottest day recorded in a decade. He lit the place up with his brilliant performance.Anyone who fails to understand that this is a classic performance in the history of rock should be forced to watch Michael Bolton videos until their eyes bleed.
