Bad Blood (The Naturals, 4)

I really enjoyed Bad Blood! It was exciting, suspenseful, and kept me wanting to know what was going to happen next. I loved getting more of the characters and seeing how the story continued to unfold. The twists and turns kept me guessing, and it had the same addictive feel as the rest of The Naturals series. If you enjoy mystery, crime, and a fast-paced story with interesting characters, this series is definitely worth reading!

Highly recommend this series!! I was hooked from page one and I can’t go but jump from book to book .. it hasn’t even been a week and I’m downloading the novella next and then I have to wait until November for the next book !!!!

This is the fourth book in The Naturals series by Barnes. This was a wonderful conclusion to this awesome thriller YA series. I really loved this series and am sad to see it end. There are spoliers ahead for those who haven’t read earlier books in the series. This is the book where everything comes together. Cassie finds out her mother is actually alive and caught up in a dangerous cult of powerful conspirators. The clock is ticking as more and more murders happen to fulfill this cult’s required ritual. I loved how the team really came together. We find out a lot more about Michael’s past. Of course we also find out a lot more about Cassie’s past and her mom and sister. This story is masterfully woven with a ton of clever plot twists. The characters have incredible depth and are a lot of fun to read about. This book had me on the edge of my seat the whole time and was an very engaging read. Overall this was a spectacular conclusion to this intense YA thriller series. I really loved this series. The plot is intricate and well done, the characters have a lot of depth, and the writing style is easy to read and engaging. I would definitely recommend to fans of YA thrillers.

Purchased as a part of a collection for my granddaughter. I was surprised at how thick it was - number of pages.

I enjoyed this audiobook and many others from this author. It was engaging. The narrator was good as well.

The end is pretty sad, but I loved the whole series, if you like mysteries this book is for u! First mystery book series I read and I finished it in 2 weeks, it was so hooking and interesting and now I’m struggling to find a book better then this, definitely worth the read!!!

Bad Blood is the conclusion to Jennifer Lynn Barnes’ series, The Naturals. Five teenagers with special abilities that they’ve developed because of some horror’s in their past aid the FBI in solving murders. At the beginning of the series, they only work on cold cases, but by this book, they’re working on an active case and getting entangled in some pretty awful things. I love the suspense, and I love how different this series is from many other YA books. Each of the earlier books in the series focuses on the backstory of one of the characters, and this book reveals details about the remaining two characters. It also brings the series full circle and involves the death of Cassie’s (the main characters and narrator) mother, which is introduced in book 1. I really enjoyed how personal everything becomes throughout this series. Barnes’ is a master of bringing the reader along on an emotional rollercoaster, and this book is no exception. A new “Natural” is introduced in this book, and while it’s clear that this series is over by the end of the book, Barnes does kind of leave it open for a possible spin-off series, which I would read in a heartbeat if she ever writes it. Her writing is so masterful. I have already reserved this first book on audio via Overdrive. I never went back to re-read the books before each new one was released, but knowing how interconnected the stories are, I now need to re-listen to the full series if I can find it. [...]

I have no words to express how I’m feeling right now. I’m hurting so much for Cassie and I’m really glad she has her found family with her. Plot wise this is the best one in the series, I’m so glad Jennifer didn’t choose the easier route and made Lorelai the bad guy. The whole discovery of who the Masters were was so good plus we got Director Sterling murdered which is a great thing for me! I’m so happy with how the naturals relationships developed throughout the books. Also Judd asking Cassie if Nonna was single after she put Michael in his place was an amazing relief for the prior events.
