Camera Tripod Easel Mounting Bracket

A simple idea that works superbly. I rarely use my tripod for my camera but it is now working full time as my easel. Firm and steady but with all the adjustments of the tripod. Much more flexible than a regular easel. Simple to detach when I do need it for my camera as well.

Easy to mount on my wooden board, it came with 4 screws and sticker for easy placement. This little device is irreplaceable for artist who wants to turn photo tripod into flat laying easel. I work in watercolor medium and prefer flat, because of the gravity pulling the water and can recommend this product for anyone who is struggling with upped easels for watercolor.

Prompt delivery and ideal for the job of fitting a painting board to a tripod. Suggest that the seller does not show the screws in the picture as this does not come with the screws.

I have tried to attach a 1/4 inch t-nut on an MDF board but it was flimsy and wabbling, then I used the tripod mounting bracket which proved to be perfect. So far, my drawing board is solidly attached to my camera tripod. I'd definitely buy it again should I need to.

This can produce a strong and light-weight easel if you have a sturdy tripod (it is best to bolt the plate through the drawing board rather than relying on screw fitting - I found the existing fixing holes a little small so drilled them slightly larger). You will also need a substantial ball and socket head as the leverage caused by a large board is quite considerable. I have made a shelf using a simple design off the internet, which fits (easily added and removed) across the two front legs of the tripod and can hold all of my drawing/painting materials whether I am standing or sitting at the easel. I have been using this setup for about a month now and I love the flexibility that it's given me, both in portability and in quick adjustment of the height and angle of my work. This is a great solution to working indoors or outdoors, if you have the other equipment and some diy skills to complete the project.

I was setting up a lightweight field easel (pochade box), and this item provides the connection to the stand. Works perfectly!

Wanted to attach some type of board to a tripod so that I could place a Projector on it to watch movies from time to time. This attachment allowed me to do this. I bought a small square chopping board from a hardware store and screwed this attachment to it. Does the job well. Only reason for 3 stars is that I can't help feeling its a bit expensive for what it is, plus you don't get any screws supplied either. Fits any standard tripod thread it seems. Useful product despite the price.

I'm actually using this to make a portable shooting support table. I use it out in the field with my camera tripod to rest my air rifle on for greater range and accuracy - superb!
