Did LED conversion on 12 fluorescent fixtures. Removed ballasts and rewired. The Wago connectors made it a fast and simple job. No wire nuts or electrical tape needed. Easy job despite high ceilings.

I am only recently discovered these connectors and as I am typically a doubting Thomas, I had my reservations. BUT!! Once I tried them, I was totally hooked!! I am in the middle of remodeling our home and as it was built in 1905 and let's just say it has been a daunting and slow process. Most of the delay has been retrofitting its electrical system, but these little gadgets have been a life saver! They allow a person to work in tighter spaces and often eliminating the need to replace an entire receptacle saving time and money! Follow the instructions on how to strip the wires and prevent slip outs, and your electrical DIY projects will be become far easier and be completed far faster!

I really like the WAGO 221 vs traditional screw-on wire nuts. It makes assembly, inspection, and re-work much easier. Small design changes are easily accomplished without disrupting other existing connections. By planning in advance, wires may be added later by just plugging in another wire.

While Wago’s are more expensive per unit than wire nuts, the ease of use is unmatched. Everyone has there opinions but like with wire nuts they’re UL listed and if used correctly in accordance with manufacturers directions you shouldn’t have an issue.

Work well, I would be sure to wrap electrical tape around the clips as they can release unintentionally.

I much prefer the way I join wires. They test out just as indicated, imo. They equal what I do in most ways. I like the strength of how I do things, better. Also, unless I'm waterproofing what I do, I'm not much slower than the different types of lever nuts that I've previously been given. Going to keep some around for emergencies. Just watch out, though. Most, if not all, have wire length requirements extending out of the boxes. Best to be sure you've enough wire facing out of the box when coming out after connecting a hot. On an initial, final, or any inspection, that ''turn over" could leave you a bit short, if someone were going by the letter of the law, imo. Keep in mind, I AM NOT AN ELECTRICIAN, but I do affair amount of wiring during most days on machines. I run off of a different set of rules, many my own, so the requirements of residential type wiring, plus most else for they're general opinions, I almost always look to the NEC, if I don' remember what exactly I did the last time, concerning one offs

Wire nuts have their place, just not in my toolbox anymore. These make things quick, easy, straight forward, and the best part is they feel good on the grab. They cost more, but the piece of mind/reusability makes them worth it imo.They save a ton of space, look efficient and professional, are easy to release and pull wires
