was not as expected broke pencil lead which got lodged in sharper blade. had to take apart to dislodge lead and got shavings all over. never worked well after that.

I love this. I traded in my manual sharpener for this and now my pencils are always sharp

I put brand new batteries in it and it didn't work. I tried the batteries in several positions and never could get it to work.Don't bother.

I have been coloring for over a year now and color for an artist so I am always super careful when applying my color and my preference is a very sharp pointed pencil. I recently broke my pencil sharpener so I thought I would give this one a try since it is battery operated instead of manual or electric. I use two of the highest brands of pencils that most people color with so I try to choose carefully because at several dollars per pencil I do not want to waste any portion of the pencil.What I like about this sharpener is that it works on my high end and low end pencils just the same and I have not experienced any splits in the wood of the pencil or breakage in lead. There are two different depths of sharpening you can do one is 6 -8 MM the other 9-12 MM on the same sharpener. The side that sharpens like a pyramid gives less of a sharp tip to detail and a wider base and sides which is great for large areas and blending with other colors. Using a sharp point you can really focus on the little likes like flowers, leafs, facial features to give the look of total perfection. The shavings cup is contained so no worries about making a mess of wood shavings all over the place and it is quick and easy to empty and clean up. I am using this daily in my coloring and have recommended it to my other coloring friends.
