GIGASET (Pro) N510 IP PRO

Q: Does this have an anwering machine in it ? If not how can we get that facility?

No. The N510 does not have a voicemail facility. The domestic Gigaset DECT VoIP base (N300a) does. If you need and n510 for a specific technical reason, you would either need to get your voice ISP to provide voicemail functionality (most do) or run your own VoIP PBX

Q: Is the colour black or white? And does the power adapter have a 3 pin UK plug?

White with a black 2 pin euro plug, really annoying

Q: What handset is best with this base?

I use the Gigaset SL400 with mine and also one of the old C47H handsets. But the basic telephone operation should work with any DECT handset.

Q: can this station network with a second to create a larger reception area?

Nope afraid not - it is a self contained with the handsets and will not roam between other base stations.
