UCam247 Weatherproof Junction Box for Outdoor Security Camera

Bought this at the same time as the UCam 247 camera and use it to protect the ether-net connector (I do not use it)from the humidity. Obviously the power connector is in there as well.It is a well made, sturdy waterproof design and does the job very well. The seals that come with the box also have little blanking plugs attached so that one can blank off one or two of the holes if they are not required.During fitting I found it awkward to hold both connectors in their location in the lower part of the box while trying to position the top to ensure that the connectors and weather seals are correctly located and fasten the screws that hold both parts together.I must add that the camera and the junction box are located under an overhang in the building so are protected from the worst of the conditions found here, including the sun. All in all it is a useful addition, almost a necessity, if you are installing the camera and only using wi-fi for the connection. I awarded four stars due to the awkwardness I found during installation.

At almost twelve quid, this was a bit on the pricy side for a junction box I thought, especially since reasonable cameras are not much more than £50 these days. However this is actually a quality bit of kit. Its metal for a start - which I hadn't realised when ordering - with good gasket seals around the join. It also comes supplied with little rubber grommets to seal up the two screw holes once you've fitted it all together. The LAN cable connection and power line connector fit inside without any issues - and the resulting connection is a massive improvement on an unsightly bundle of plastic bags and gaffer tape that I had before.

I was looking for boxes to use for my new CCTV kit, and ruled out a number of cheaper ones to buy these. Really glad I did, because these are well made, perfect for the job, and are well designed. The rubber seal makes all the difference so that I can safely screw them together and know my cabling is properly protected. Simply brilliant!

Thought the price was maybe a bit "steep" when buying it, but the box is a cast metal contruction and so very sturdy. The silicon seal and plugs also fit perfectly around the cables so privde a very nice and weather-proof solution. The box has a fixing bracket on one side and comes with screws and wall plugs too.

This is one of those products that should come with the uCam Outdoor Camera. The construction is excellent and solid, as is the gasket seal keeping the box weatherproof. Fixings for the box itself are also included.It does what it's meant to do very well at the end of the day.

Solid construction and quality fittings mean this provides effective weatherproofing. My only gripe is that the size of the holes, while fine for the cables provided with the ucam, are too small if you attempt to use outdoor cat6 cable due to the larger diameter.

This is a superbly made product: Compact, low profile, sturdy, and the best junction box seals I've ever seen. We have a listed property, so we have to keep the 16 security cameras and their junction boxes as discrete as possible. Fashionable looking and petite, the photos don't do it justice.

This is a waste of money. My camera is outdoors and this box is only suitable for the electric cable. The ethernet wire will not fit in it.
