Roaman's Women's Plus Size Cargo Shorts

I bought a pair of these in the Khaki color a few years ago. They have held up well and when I needed more shorts for a vacation, I bought them in brown. Those worked well, so I recently purchased the navy. What I love about them is they sit well on my waist and hips, they are long enough for me to feel comfy with my chubby thighs and avoid the dreaded bunching up, but not so long that they are Bermudas. They are very light yet cover well. Colors are good and have held up well in the wash. I dry them in the dryer and no shrinkage (please note: they will go on a little tight after drying but they ease up very quickly and loosen up well). For reference, I am a size 20 and pretty much evenly distributed.Why I didn't give them a 5? The cargo pockets are a little small. There is a zipper "pocket" on one side that is basically useless, I wish they would just make the cargo pocket bigger. The velcro on one of the cargo pockets fell off. And I have had to secure the front button on two of the three pairs. One of them I had to add fabric under the button and on the inside because the area where the button was originally sewn was frayed. Fairly minor for me as I sew a lot, but a little annoying as it has happened to two pairs.Overall I am very happy with these, and they look great.

I like them. I wear them often. I wish the material was thicker and cotton, but they are good shorts.

I had a pair of heavy-duty cargo shorts (different brand) that were made of a very heavy fabric and have lasted me 10+ years. They recently got stained, so I went looking for replacements.The Roaman's shorts seemed good - though their initial price (48 dollars!!) was a bit outlandish. Then they went on sale for half that on Prime day so I nabbed them. The current price (31 dollars) is a bit high but not as nuts as 48 was.I rated them 3 stars because of the following:- The fabric is fairly thin - I have no clue how well it'll hold up. Another reviewer mentioned having to add fabric behind the button to reinforce it, so this does seem to be a concern- They do wrinkle. I don't especially care, but you might want to iron them after washing if you care about that.- The waistband is just the tiniest bit snug.I don't use the cargo pockets, just the regular ones. They do a good job of holding my phone (a larger one) and a small wallet.The belt loops in the front are quite wide. My previous cargo shorts had the same thing. It's unlikely to be a problem for most people, but I found it annoying, as I have a clip on my wallet that I hook to regular belt looks (it's saved me from dropping it in the past) and that's a bit annoying to do here. I didn't downgrade the pants because of this since it sees to be a common feature, and most people don't do that.

I love these shorts. They’re wide enough at the bottom to be loose, yet structured enough at the top to be flattering. They run a bit large, and they stretch as you wear them. If they’re at all loose when you try them on, you’ll need a belt by the end of the day. Also, most of the extra pockets are useless. The main 4 pockets are okay, the other ones are for show. You might be able to fit a credit card or a key in them, but nothing else.

I bought these for my wife. She lost some weight and went from an 18W to 16W. I ordered the 16-plus for her and they fit just like 16W. The fabric isn't 100% cotton, but there is a good amount of cotton in them and the material is very light and thin. They also have a tiny bit of stretch, which she finds more comfortable for sitting and doing activities. She was very happy and asked me to order her 2 more pairs in different colors, which I did.

I didn't know what to expect when I bought these, so I only bought one pair at first. I wore them a lot to say the least, that I ordered two more in different colors. Only negative thing to say, is that I wish they offered a rainbow of colors :) They are super flexible even after a wash and dry and resume back to my comfort level after wearing them a few minutes. I love all the pockets and style of them, they aren't too short or long. Just a perfect length on the leg.

The shorts look nice but the side "cargo" pockets are shallow and small. Some have hardly any use at all. Maybe you can fit a capstick in them. They are mostly for looks. Overall, they are good if you don't need to carry much.

Well made. Fit exactly as my normal size does. Only reason for 4 rather than 5 star is: 1) I had to have tailor create a cargo pocket large enough for my iPhone 7s + in the 3 pair I purchased 2) wanted shorts just above the knee (Bermuda shorts), so the tailor cut them to desired length. Pocket & length came out great after tailored. Highly recommend, but think mfg shd add the larger pocket on one side and also add a 2nd, above the knee length. Would also be terrific to have Mfg make full length slacks with the larger cargo pocket out of same, light weight, cotton fabric.
