Bed Exit Alarm and Bed Sensor Pad

My mum of 87 years of age has since April this year suffered and survived a broken hip, a subdural haematoma and a broken nose due to poor balance and disorientation when getting up in the night, I now stay overnight at my mother's to prevent further falls. Initially she would call out for me but this stopped after a few nights due to forgetfulness. I was then trying to rely on hearing her get out of bed. Due to tiredness and mum's forgetfulness this did not work hence the broken nose from a 3rd fall.Obviously this could not continue, I was advised to get a sensor mat, whilst looking this product up I came across the bed exit alarm system which alerts the carer of the patient's intention of getting out of bed. It has been a godsend for me, and I have no reservations in recommending this product to anyone concerned for their patient or relative. I now manage to sleep better between calls. It is easy to use and the alert is loud enough for me even on low. An excellent product.

Instructions are not clear but the mat is good and does not slip.

The bed alarm was a first rate product however it was not suitable for the needs of our resident. Amazon were quick to agree to its return and we will choose another product for our resident

Excellent product, found in worked better for our needs as a mat (taped directly to floor beside the bed) Sensitivity is as good as when first purchased, still on the original batteries too. I had looked at similar mats that were a lot more expensive but this has proved to be a real 'Ronseal' product...ie does exactly as promised.

This product did not work for us at all .it was so sensitive it went off if mum just turned over it bed .We tried to change the settings and contacted the company but basically we have up and are not using it .May be ours is faulty?

Ideal for anyone who has an elderly relative that wanders at night. I would have rated this 5 out of 5 had it had a rechargeable battery set system and battery test switch.

My dad has dementia so doesn't remember he is supposed to call me for help when getting out of bed. He is unsteady on his feet. This alarm lets me know that he is about to get up and works brilliantly!
