Tide Time Nautical Tide Clock - Beach Face

It's something different, great if you live near the sea and like visiting the coast as once you have set it up correctly it really works well at letting you see the state of the daily tides.

I am finally able to write my review on this after putting it through the test period. I bought it as a Christmas gift for my husband and I as we have recently moved quite near to the coast and thought it would be quite useful for checking the tide changes as we have a dog we like to take for runs on the beach. As we didn't open it til Christmas and on reading the instructions we saw you had to set it on the date of the full moon at high tide, we could not get it working until that time, otherwise to spoil the effect!! So the first full moon was on Jan 4th in this new year of 2015, and we set the clock. Have now been monitoring it on a daily basis and the tide changes have been spot on I am pleased to say. So am very pleased with this tide clock and am sure it will be a talking point for a while to come. Was very reasonable for the price too and it arrived very quickly too after the initial order so will definitely recommend this company. Very satisfied customer all round!!

A 'bare bones' clock as it has no front (glass/plastic) cover, but it does its job and looks good.

The clock worked well and was a good price. The only negative point is that there is no protection for the face of the clock. Any accidental contact with the face would damage the finger.

Love the look of it, a restful image that fits the theme and looks good in my house. Accuracy is pretty good if set at the correct time of full moon. Smaller than a regular clock but the numbers and text is easy to read.

Absolutely hopeless. I’m a meteorologist and sailor, and this clock just doesn’t replicate the tide times accurately. The tidal cycle is 12 hours and 25.2 minutes, so it shouldn’t be difficult to produce a clock with a mechanism to replicate this. It loses at least an hour over a week, so you are soon out of synchronisation. The instructions to set it on a full moon are pointless and ridiculous. Set it at any high tide or low tide for your location, which can be obtained from the internet.

Fantastic product, with the tides being 12 hours and 25 mins apart, this clock has proved accuraute. Every one on the coast should have one, especially if you have a boat in a tidal harbour or river. As our harbour dries out at low tide we can only take the boat out 3 hours either side of high tide. We can now look at the tide clock and see where we are. What a brilliant Idea.
