Goddards Goddards Long Term Silver Cloth, 1 milliliters

This polishing cloth has far exceeded my expectations. I bought the "Goddards silver polish Long Shine Silver Foam Tarnish Remover" last week and was not impressed with it at all. The polish did remove much of the tarnish but still left my silver with some parts that appeared as if they can never be cleaned. As soon as this cloth arrived (late) I just had to use it immediately and was impressed straight away. The remaining tarnish was quickly disappearing with little effort at all. Within the first minute, my silver was starting to shine. Within three minutes, it was sparkling like new. The cloth is thick and will last for some time thus being more than enough for most people to clean all their silver jewellery. It will also be good for reviving any type of silverware, including tableware and cutlery. As the pictures show, the cloth appears to get very dirty but it actually doesn't.The blackness is not from amount of dirt that is on the silver as it's actually the polish. Where there are blotches of blackness, that is where polishing with the finger has taken place, the lines / streaks are where I have pulled the silver chain through the cloth. The chain didn't even appear to be dirty / tarnished but it was as it too started shining like new silver. Pros - * easy to use *no effort needed *good quality, thick cloth *does a professional job Cons - *None I highly recommend this cloth as it it far outperforms the silver polish that comes from the same manufacturer and is far cheaper. This cloth is really good value for money and will save some £s as you won't need to pay jewellers to do the cleaning for you. If anything, this cloth is a bargain.

This is an astounding product. Theres a good size cloth included. So much so that i cut it in two and shared with brother. The cloth rescued a few chains and rings that'd been consigned for the bin. Not sure how the cloth works but whatever it's impregnated with easily removes tarnish and doesn't scratch. Results really restored old silver to almost new looking with lots of lustre. Don't throw the cloth away when it's darkened. Works even better when "broken in" and seems to continue to work way beyond point you'd want to throw it. Give it a go!

I recently discovered an old charm bracelet whilst having a sort out. It was badly tarnished so I wanted to bring it back to life and make it wearable again. I couldn't find my old silver polishing cloth so I bought this one with high hopes. Delivery took a while but that is to be expected with the current Covid-19 restrictions. The cloth doesn't smell great and has quite a strange texture, much more coarse than my previous cloth which was quite silky. I also found it to be quite thick which made getting into more intricate areas of the bracelet and charms more difficult. HOWEVER, having said all that the pictures speak for themselves. The cloth has taken my old neglected bracelet and removed a good deal of the tarnish, making it wearable again, which was all I really wanted. For the price I paid and with free delivery I can't complain at all. Overall I am very pleased with the results and would say that if you're not looking to spend the earth then this is a great value cleaning cloth.

I recently noticed that the necklaces I wear all the time (therein lies the problem - sleep in them, shower in them, etc) had suddenly become very tarnished with a black tinge. I've never used anything like this product before but ordered it yesterday, delivered today and have spent the evening polishing two necklaces. Within a very short space of time they are restored to their original gleaming glory and look like new again. There's no real need for me to waffle on here though as the photos tell the whole story. My sterling silver chlo bo bracelet was badly damaged by chlorine when I forgot to take it off when going swimming one day, it was completely black and had all black dots around the tag part it almost looked like I had dipped my bracelet in a tin of oil!! i thought I would never bring it back to life but when using this product the result was amazing it came up so shiny and new. I would definitely recommend to anyone who was looking to purchase this product.

Just before my big sister Wendy passed away, I had 2 of her fingerprints made into pendants. I use to always wear one and have a spare but I was still paranoid about losing them, as irreplaceable. So I put them away in a box for only special occasions. I got them out the other day as I will be wearing one next weekend and was gutted as they had tarnished a black/blue colour which made them illegible. I bought this silver polish cloth which came tonight, not expecting it to work that well for the low cost … but come up like new, soooo pleased !!! Best £3.22 I’ll ever spend !!! Definitely recommend the product, only used a very small square - though it stinks and my eyes are watering more than worth it.

I think the before tarnished items compared to the freshly polished speak for themselves. That very old (very old) badge hadn’t been out of my jewellery box for best part of 26 years… it came up lovely despite it not being silver. It’s hard to tell but the 102 year old Vesta case was a little tarnished (not as bad as the Malayan music ball or the antique perfume bottle!) so it’s difficult to show you but the inside required only a wipe over with the cloth and it lifted all tarnish! I was so impressed that I sat and polished all my old jewellery whilst watch TV. Very therapeutic. I must warn you to wear gloves if you have sensitive skin as my hands were black by the time I’d finished! I would happily recommend this product.

Very happy with purchase. These cloths do a fabulous job and last forever. They're large, thick, and very high quality. Yes, there are other ways you can clean and polish your silver cutlery and jewelry but once you've tried Goddards you'll never go back.

El producto llegó antes de la fecha indicada. Es una gamuza que puede cortarse en dos mitades para un tamaño más adecuado, al menos para mí, que limpio piezas de plata pequeñas (joyería). Hace muchos años ví que utilizaban este producto las dependientas del Corte Inglés para limpiar los artículos de plata. Pero ya no está a la venta en este establecimiento, y la única forma que pude adquirirlo fue a través de Amazon. Muy buena compra, deja muy bien la joyería, aunque en algunas piezas, es más difícil porque no son lisas. Hay otro producto “silver dip” de esta misma marca, que limpia las piezas por inmersión. Es muy potente pero cuando son piezas con perlas o esmaltes, no me atrevo, y la única solución es esta gamuza. Como digo en el título, muy recomendable, y de los pocos productos efectivos para quitar el óxido de la plata.

Prima di tutto devo fare i complimenti al venditore. Il prodotto è arrivato con notevole ritardo (scusabile visto i tempi), e ad un certo punto il venditore mi ha perfino restituito i soldi. Il panno è ottimo per tenere pulito l’argento, quindi se avete argento annerito non va bene (consiglio la pasta dell stessa marca è eccezionale). Se invece volete tenere pulito in maniera facile il vostro argento o far risplendere appena diventa opaco questo fa al caso vostro. Basta passarlo sull’argento e subito risplende. Io lo uso una volta a settimana come se fosse uno straccio della polvere e non mi si annerisce più l’argento. Ottimo per oggetti con decorazioni o che non si possono lavare facilmente
