Nakoma 88250 Rit Liquid Dye, Multi-Colour, 8 oz

I took a bit of a risk using this dye on some rattan lampshades because replacing them in the darker colour I wanted would have cost around £80. Thankfully, they turned out really well and completely changed the look of the room for a fraction of the price. The dye was easy to apply - I used nitrile gloves and an old kitchen sponge, which worked perfectly. I also didn’t need to use very much product, so there’s plenty left for other DIY projects and items in the same room. One thing I would recommend, specifically for rattan or similar absorbent materials, is diluting the dye slightly with water first. Because this type of material can’t really be rinsed afterwards, the colour takes very strongly and can end up darker than expected if applied neat. That’s not a criticism of the product itself, just something worth knowing depending on what you’re using it on. Overall, I’m really pleased with the result and would definitely recommend it for upcycling and home projects.

Used this to dye a seagrass hanging basket and it worked well. Arrived quickly.

I used the product in the washing machine, exactly as per the instructions on the Rit Website. Out of the machine, and wet, it looked perfect, I was very happy with the product. I had a few washes to do to dye everything, then proceeded to wash items again, as per instructions, this was to take out any excess dye, and ensure that there would be no transfer. This worked perfectly, in that there is no transfer, and the colour is even throughout, however I have a mid brown at best, not dark brown

Absolute garbage. Please don’t waste money on this. I returned the dylon dye pods only as I wanted to dye polyester cushions and this dye stated that it dyes nylon.. no joy- just wasted money, time and effort of taking off cushions covers , washing them, dyeing them, drying and putting the same one back on.. DISAPPOINTED

Best dye ever I already have it in royal blue

OK, go easy with this stuff it's really strong, I used it to dye some action figure clothes and they came out great. This is very dark, almost to the point of being black. It works really quickly, if you want to see some brown maybe leave it less time or use a more diluted mix

Avevo giacchino e magliette bianche, ho utilizzato tutto il prodotto che dopo 15 minuti, con tintura a mano, ha raggiunto quello che volevo. Il giacchino è 20 cotone e resto poliestere, risultato eccellente.

Good product and easy to use

Can't even make before and after pictures because exactly nothing changed. Not when following the instructions step for step, not when I tried it for a second time and let the fabric soak for the entire night. Not worth it!
