Support rod not perpendicular to baseplate
The shelf supports arrived on time and appear to be very sturdy with good welds. My complaint is that one of the supports is not perpendicular to the base plate. This will cause an issue when locating and drilling the holes in the shelf and mounting it on the wall. Walls are never perfectly straight and an experienced DIYer can account for that, but the crooked bracket will be hard to work around, especially if you want to hide the baseplate in a dado behind the shelf. I will update this review after making and mounting the shelf.

AMAZING PRODUCT!
AMAZING PRODUCT!!! We installed into our studs and then shiplapped around the base of these and that took care of the 1/4" reveal of the base. We then measured post to post and drilled the shelves and slid them in place. Perfect fit and snug against the wall. Very high quality. Would buy again.... I actually am buying again. Perfect for my mantle!
Great craftsmanship! Trust me.....took a half hour just to cut an inch off each one. Quality materials and strong as heck. Worked perfectly to mount a new mantle. Would buy again!

Great product! I used it on a 1 1/8 inch thick slab of cherry and it is very solid. Definitely the least amount of thickness I would do.

Very sturdy. Have 8 of these holding up floating shelves in my kitchen I made out of 2 x 12 lumber.

Need modification upon arrival
Weld on back not flush so I will have to grind it down. This is a major detail if you want your brackets to sit level. Pain in the butt.
