NEST should invalidate their "Works with Nest" certification!
The product is advertised with "being able to follow whatever temperature your NEST Thermostat is set at". It does not. It once did it overnight when I went to sleep... not acceptable!!! It only seems to do *something* when you use the integrated app, and even then the eTRV temperatures don't update to match the newly selected temperature, even after the 5 minutes "update" time that each TRV requires. I was patient and waited an hour after adjusting the temperature via the app (which did successfully change the NEST Themostat's temperature) but the eTRVs just sat there at 16 degrees when the stat is set to 24. I returned home from work today to a cold house! After that I just lost my patience and decided to return.I followed the instructions and set the eTRV to "follow" the "linked" Nest stat, just incase people think I didn't.I contacted their support, no response. I gave them a full business day but got no reply. The pairing process is *very* fiddly - at least if you follow the instructions in the very clunky app that they provide you. You have to hold down the button AND press pair straight away within the app, rather than the actual instructions telling you to wait for LEDs to turn off. Even that wasn't an entirely reliable method. The clips that are provided also didn't appear to stay in even after 24 hours of use. This simply isn't acceptable for clips which MOUNT THE TRV TO THE RADIATOR simply just pop out. Yes, I orientated it correctly as per the instructions.Absolute waste of money. DO NOT BUY! I decided in the end that I'm going to make a full switch to Tado (stat and eTRVs), as NEST's offerings are somewhat lacking, unfortunately.

nice looking product, easy to fit
Given that these things are going to reduce my gas bill by 25% they are in effect free, or at least will be in a couple of years time. Adding these to my MiHome system was very simple, just like adding the smart plugs, its as easy as tapping on the right picture in the App and pressing the grey button to link them up. Also, it was easier than i thought to fit to the radiator - i only needed a small phillips screwdriver. The website for energenie has detailed instructions but it is pretty obvious what to do; just unscrew the existing valve - no tools required - fit the collar provided with the MiHome valve and clip it in to place; about 5 minutes! Being able to set the actual room temperature is great as we always had some rooms that no matter how much we turned up the wall stat they never got warm, whilst elsewhere in the house we would be sweating! i'll buy more when i can. oh and they look smart too!

Nice valve but not entirely universal without some ingenuity
The manual thermostatic valves on my radiators were very old and did not match with any of those in the on-line application guide. Hence, the valve pin on the radiator was too short to reach the actuator pin on the Energenie unit with or without the supplied extension collar. However, the gap between the pin and actuator was easily bridged with three or four 10 euro cent coins which were a nice, loose fit into the bore of the actuator. It was then a little bit fiddly to screw the actuator onto the radiator valve without all the coins dropping out but a little bit of ingenuity with a bent paper clip soon solved that. The valve was straightforward to calibrate and, as with all the Energenie devices, very easy to set up on the network with the Energenie mobile app. As other people have commented, the electric motor is very noisy and is amplified through the radiator pipework. Some mechanical isolation between the actuator and the valve pin would probably help. I may try replacing the coins/spacer with a rubber disc sandwiched between two coins to provide that isolation. The noise probably wouldn't be noticed anywhere but in a quiet bedroom and even then only if the valve is switching fully on or fully off (i.e. the motor is running for 3 to 5 seconds).

Product doesn't function as advertised
Feedback for seller is great! Product feedback is as follows: The products do seem to work on the radiators themselves but do not function as advertised. They are no longer compatible with Nest and haven't been since November. Google has denied them access as there are security concerns with the parent company's cameras. Instead of integrating with Nest, these have to be managed individually through the Mihome app and the Google Home app. It's not exactly simple but in the end it does work. Would not recommend to anyone who isn't tech savvy.

One works and one doesn't! 😕
Bought these as already have energenie sockets in the house and my old "I-temp terrier" TRV valve in the bedroom had stopped working. Easy to set up and install but unfortunately only one seems to be working correctly. The motor sounds like its struggling on the faulty one and doesn't always receive the signal to operate. This is the one closest to the "gateway" so shouldn't have any issues at all.I started filling out a returns form as quite happy just to have the "one" replaced but looks like I will have to send back as a complete package (due to automatic amazon return docs).I have taken it off, removed the batteries and reinstalled to see if this makes any difference, but I think they will be posted back very soon. 🤔😕

Poor product design and not functioning properly. Online help hasn’t responded either.
I purchased two values Dec 14th becausse the power sockets are working well. One TRV is fitted well but never senses/reports a temperature other than 18 degrees. Target is 21. Radiator is hot. 18 is the lowest it shows even when heating off and being aired with window open. The second value was incorrectly fitted with the wrong spacer. It’s almost impossible to remove the value without breaking the connector. The companies website has been out of stock of replacement connectors (it’s a featured item) since December. Suggests it’s a common problem. The company supportis poor too. There’s a sales line, but no other support mechanism except submitting an online form. I have not yet received a reply to the online query I raised last year.
