Following the success of Linux Basics for Hackers, OccupytheWeb does what he did for Linux to Networks. Networks of all types, including TCP/IP, Bluetooth Networks, Car Networks, W-iFi Networks, Radio Frequency Networks, SCADA/ICS Networks, and more. In his inimitable style, Master OTW makes the seemingly complex, simple. This book is designed for beginner to intermediate cybersecurity professionals. It begins with the basics of networks and networking, examines network analysis with Wireshark and tcpdump, offers one of the most complete and in-depth analyses of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth networks, then progresses through the various protocols such as DNS, ARP, SMTP, and others. The reader will be led through the building of those applications in Linux, such as an EXIM server for email or a BIND server for DNS. Then OTW leads the reader through the major vulnerabilities of that protocol/application. In the final chapters, OTW leads the reader through some of the networks on the leading-edge of cybersecurity, such as Car, Radio, and Industrial networks. There has never been book quite like this one! Review: Very good learning Resource - Brilliant book, love the layout and explanations. Review: Very understandable - A good read and very helpful!

Disappointing
The content is mostly understandable and will no doubt teach some basic concepts but some pages contradict others, some information is simply incorrect based on previous knowledge, the pictures are all blurry and illegible, and there are hyperlinks throughout (some that don't even show the URL, with text like 'click here' instead), which is completely useless for a printed book. This was clearly intended to be read on a screen and has been printed out for a quick buck. Needless to say, all these issues should not be present from such a respected author.

Really bad print! Not commenting on the content.
Really bad print! Not commenting on the content. Just received it so not commenting on the content... the pic's are bad and pixelated. Book is big with loads of wasted space on the pages. it looks and feel like bad copy.

Blurry diagrams
The content of the book is great, and I have the authors other book 'Linux Basics for Hackers' however this book is poorly printed with some blurry diagrams and no colour within the book at all. The quality of the book print is really disappointing, which otherwise lets down an informative book and respected author.

Reliably good author and teacher. Must have book!
As is with ALL of OTC's books, this one comes HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Well thought out, well written, keeps your interest and not written like a boring manual. OTC has a great way of getting his points across without lulling you into a state of comatose the way other writers seem to be highly skilled and efficient at. You're given poignant facts along with a tiny bit of theory (enough to keep you wanting more) and the information is very valuable! It's above a starter level for sure but also not so mundane you don't want to keep learning. Your absorbing facts and references you WILL need in the future and with references you can always go back to whenever needed at your fingertips. If you're heading into Cybersecurity this is a requirement to have!
