Shh! We Have a Plan: A gloriously funny read aloud adventure and the winner of a Parents' Choice Award

The best book that I ever bought for my young granddaughter. She absolutely loves it. Everything about this book is wonderful from the gorgeous illustrations to the imaginative and expressive storyline. I loved reading it to her so much that I decided to buy more books from the author Chris Haughton for my granddaughter and grandniece.

Very imaginative and clever book. When I first read this to my just turned three year old daughter I was a little taken aback by the lack of words in it. I feared she would be bored at the seeming lack of story but not at all. She loved the artistry which is so distinctive compared to a lot of books for children. Its great fun to read to her and to get her to join in. When I say "Ssshh" I put a finger to my lips and she joins in copying me as I motion in a creeping way as if we were both sneaking up on that pesky bird. She loves it and I do too.

Such a funny book! The repetition is great for children to join in with. The illustrations are bright and distinctively Chris Haughton! My daughter still goes back to this book time and time again.

Interesting illustrations, looks great. Story is very brief and repetitive but my 16 month old boy loves it. Great book for nippers but on third or fourth repeat it gets tiresome. It's so short it's over in a flash which is why we have to read it three or four times back to back before it mysteriously falls behind the sofa.

less words, a lot of humor

My son got this for his 1st birthday and it's been one of his favourite books ever since. It's very cleverly written with simple sentences and illustrations which are very easy to understand and fantastic for language learning.My son often grabs this book and "reads" it to himself - saying random words aloud and I know he's got it even if I'm not in the same room.I've now purchased all the books from this author and I can't wait for him to release more!

great book. the colours are great, and its a good size. very funny story for both child and parent. my son loves to read along since each part is a pattern. i like the the surprise is always after the page flip. 1mo later, he still likes to read this very frequently.

Bought this after reading excellent reviews on amazon and they weren't wrong. My 2 and 3 year olds now demand this every night and throughout the day , reading along and pointing. This provides excellent opportunities for voices too if you like that kind of thing.

I bought a couple of Chris Houghton books for my 2.5 year-old grand daughters. They are delightful, and George’s escapades into that behaving and choices offer a lot of great discussions with kiddos. I love the interactive nature of the book; my granddaughters were happily telling George what he was doing right in the second half of the book.

The book is just wonderful. Little ones and grown ups alike can learn about kindness and making contact. It is not moralizing (which I find a bit annoying in the books by Rachel Bright and Jim Field), yet the message is clear. The illustrations are beautiful and also reduced to the relevant.It is good to read for toddlers already because of the repetition in the story telling. We are having fun letting our little one jump on our laps whenever the characters in the book fail to catch the bird and tumble, stumble, fall down.I fully recommend the book without hesitations. I am much looking forward to the other books from the same author.

Oh jeez were do I start. We got this book from the library and all our 20 month old could do is carry this around and she has it memorized. We need up buying her a copy. It is a fantastic little story with awesome contrast in the art. We all know this book word for word. It's great. Shhhhh SHHHH! We have a plan.
