Heavy but worth it for the versatility.
Love this thing ... yes, it's heavier than your titanium hiking poop trowel, but I've used it for so much more that it's permanently mounted to my ruck in its case. Let's see you chop kindling with your poop trowel! You can even use it like a posthole digger by splaying the handles out and turning it on the ground to get a deep, round hole for a Dakota hole fire. Rugged ... my buddy and I were throwing it at a stump on our last hike to see if we could stick it. It stuck more than once, but the missed shots dealt no damage and it still looks and works just as before. One scary Russian tool!

The review I read that got me to buy this went something like "Told my son to take it outside and try and break it. It's been two weeks and it received nothing more than surface damage." After receiving the shovel I can say that when the Zombie Apocalypse starts you, you'll want one of these.
