Great and Highly Reliable Wheels
I have used these as well as Intermountain and Kadee Wheels. All three are good but "when push comes to shove" the Bachmann's are my favorite. They are easy to put, roll extremely well on both steel and nickel silver track (I have sections of both), sound great and have caused no problems. I also like the Intermountain wheels when they work. In a batch of 20, 3 caused my DCC layout to short bringing the trains to a stop. So, I had to keep swapping wheels to find the guilty party and through them out. No such problem with the Bachmann metal wheels; everyone I have put on a car has worked immediately!

Awesome performance and sound enhancement over plastic
I bought these for replacing the plastic wheels on the rolling stock for a ready to run Bachmann train set. There was an immediate and noticeable performance improvement. It's really clear that the narrower axle-tips, in addition to the reduced friction in the metal wheels are vastly superior. The noise is great too. They make a 'clack' over each track section instead of a muted plastic on metal noise. These wheels are non-magnetic and will NOT interfere with operation when riding over magnetically controlled accessories like turnouts or decouplers.I wish there were larger sets however, as it only covers 3 pieces of rolling stock.

Worked perfectly
These worked perfectly. I used them in a Bachmann Silver Series car I bought on eBay. Someone had swapped out the original metal wheels for cheap plastic ones.

Works
Due to being flat black, they may not give off an aura of realism. I still much prefer steel looking ones. However they run nicely and fit perfect for the project I needed these wheels for.No complaints

Way smoother than plastic.
These things make the train run so smooth! It also makes it much quieter.

High Quality
These all metal wheels are awesome and the needle-point bearings are metal. Give these a spin by hand... with almost no friction these will spin for quite a while before coming to a stop. Before purchasing these wheels I purchased new metal wheels (cheaper and a different manufacturer) having no idea the axles were made of plastic. The plastic needle-point bearings (and even with plastic friendly oil) created enough extra friction that my locomotive could not pull as many cars. ALSO... if you like the click-clack sound of metal wheels - plastic axles will insulate the sound that a metal axle will give you. I'm very happy with these “ALL metal wheels with metal axles”!!! High quality and well worth a few extra dollars!

Great wheels
I just love these 33" wheel sets from Bachmann, the difference they make when mounted on both new and old rolling stock is really really noticeable, extremely low rolling resistance make your locomotives work a lot easier (they can pull much larger trains) also the sound of metal wheels going through the track joints is delightful, and adds to the overall joyful experience of running your train set.I have mounted these 33" wheel sets on rolling stock from the following manufacturers: Bachmann, Life-like & Model Power, some of the freight cars date back from 1988 all the way to 2012, and all of them have been nicely upgraded with the metal wheels. I like them so much that I really refuse to go back to plastic wheels, so whenever I get additional rolling stock, 33" Bachmann metal wheel sets are a must.I did also try 33" wheel sets from Atlas but their axle tips appear to be a bit larger just enough to create noticeable rolling resistance (at least on my rolling stock) so I pass on those.
