Sterling Liffey Rear Access Steel Postbox - black

Perfect but letter box had to be made bigger to fit post in. Only big enough for letters otherwise and no good for small parcels. Good price too.

When it was first put on our gate we had a problem due to the thickness of the wood, as we cut the hole to the size of the front letterbox (Liffey is on the rear). The Liffey posting slot is quite shallow - about half the size of a normal letterbox, so that when post was put in it either bent back on the exposed part of the casing or went straight through the lid part on the other side and landed on the floor!. Had to bend up angle piece under top lid, then cut casing with hacksaw to size of front letter slot. Front hinged cover of the Liffey is now redundant.The thickness of my gate is because you have to have a wood bar at back to strengthen the gate when cutting a hole in it for posting or the planks will fall apart..

A good size and sturdy. No more scrunched up post and a better height for the postman too

since my postie was refusig to deliver my mail as he was terrified of my puppy i needed a quick solution. good sturdy product and excellent value for money

Disappointed ,poor quality, for price expected something stronger. Can be unlocked, through the letter flap, just a pencil through flap to reach lock. Not tested in rain, dos'nt look water tight, too many gaps around flaps. Good design "poorly" made.

Not as sturdy as ot looks. Water gets into it so you get wet mail and the lock is rubbish, as it's hard to get the key in and unlocl/lock.

Was pleased with the look of box. Wanted to place it on back of gate - only problem first day postman put letters through but pushed top lid open so letters were outside on ground. Sealed top lid with tape, not a problem anymore.

Very happy with this, new postie will now deliver my mail, as before he was too frightened to come into driveway because of my 18 month softie german shepherd. does get water inside but not issue if get mail in quickly when raining.
