XL Nickel Bass Guitar Strings 45-130, 5-String Set

I have been very impressed with the strings so far. My first time purchasing D'Addario strings at the recommendation by my brother which I must admit was a good call. The strings were nicely sealed and packaged to preserve their life upon my receiving of them. When I first played with the strings I expected there to be a lot of low-end tone without any cleaner tones but I was pleasantly surprised. Not only do these strings capture the low-end with a significant amount of bite, They have a crisp and clear sounding part to them which makes it 100 times easier to solo with them (when your feeling adventurous that is). I can foresee myself using these strings frequently in the future. Definitely a quality product.

Excellent strings; nice tension, good feel and great, well balanced punchy tone. Even the B string sounds crisp and has a nice 'twang'. A definite improvement over my usual Rotosounds. I highly recommended these strings.

I’ve only had them on a week so as for longevity, we will see. What I will say is the tone is bright but not as ‘new string’ twang as other brands. The playability is good and tonal consistentcy is excellent across all 5 strings. The low B is neither flappy or dull.

No problem with these strings. Seem to be a no nonsense set of strings, fitted them myself without any problems. I am not a professional player but as an amatuer these strings work just fine for me.

I've been using these strings for over 25 years, great tone, punch and clarity that cuts in the mix whether live or studio. D'addario EXL170-5 are truly the best there is..

this is my first time buying this string at scale length 38 .. its so smooth and the string response in lower tuning is better than i expected.... but this in May 2024 at 4500 but now when i try to buy it again the price is double,, what dafaq happen

Las tengo puestas desde el 19 de octubre a Squier Affinity Jazz Bass de 5 cuerdas y decir que me encantan. Tienen sonido profundo y a la vez equilibrado. No se cuento tiempo durarán, pero comentaros que los dedos se deslizan por el diapasón casi como si no tuvieran trastes, muy suaves; vaya una maravilla. Las recomiendo.

D'Addario basta solo il nome, corde fantastiche brillanti e nello stesso tempo potenti nelle frequenze basse, ottima dinamica e ottimo sustain. Montate su basso Performer by Spector 5 Corde, suonano benissimo, Fantastiche!

Excelentes cuerdas buen sonido brillo y suaves al tocar las recomiendo.
