Combo Lockset SC1 Entry Door knob & deadbolt Lock set Gold Silver Antique (SS Silver)

Didn't use the deadbolt because it was a dual key deadbolt, which we didn't realize when we bought it, so we didn't use the deadbolt. The doorknob locking switch sticks a little... you have to push it in and wiggle it go get it to function correctly. i guess you get what you pay for. Would have given it a higher rating if the deadbolt wasn't a dual key deadbolt. Even locksmiths wonder why this type of deadbolt even exists. If the deadbolt had a knob on the back we would have installed it and given it a higher rating.

Even though these locks aren't premium priced, the hardware is study and the antique bronze makes them look rather upscale. I've installed 3 sets and they're no more difficult to install than any other type of lock, BUT ...IMPORTANT: you got to "TRUE" the double cylinder first by inserting the key and lock/unlock the mechanism a couple times BEFORE you install it.Otherwise the lock will on to the door, but it won't work right once screwed in place. One of the keys won't work, or will only work partially. This is because the two little pins at the tip of each cylinder are improperly aligned. There will be bitter weeping and gnashing of teeth, because you'll have to take it off again and start over!

The lock started off great. Within 6 months- the lock was difficult to turn to the point of being unable to open the door. After taking this lock out to replace- we noticed the amount of metal shavings coming from lock. It was completely deteriorating. Would not recommend!

I liked the quality of this lock and the fact that the Finish stands up to the weather and the internal parts are all quality made. Dealing with the company itself they could not possibly be any more helpful in any way that you need. So also a great company to deal with.
