fruity as ever
long time since had some of these still as good as ever.

Too expensive.
The sweets were very tasty, but for buying on line we're expensive.

Very overpriced
So, this purchase was basically a nostalgic impulse buy, having seen an advert, as I'd not had any Fruit Gums for literally decades. What a disappointment. These are very different from the fruit gums I knew. Soft not hard. So different that I decided to buy a small pack, from Tesco, to check. Turns out the re ipe has been modified to be acceptable to vegans. Hmmm. That was my first surprise. The se ond was that Tesco sell a 150g pack for ... 89p. That is slight over 0.5p/gram (actually 0.59p). This 'bulk pack' was 500g for slightly more than £11. That makes 2.2p/gram. That's over 4 times the cost on the shops! That's a massive markup. Now of course I have to accept some blame for being charged over the odds for not being properly aware of the shop prices at this time, but even so 400% markup is massive. On top of that having compared the anonymous package I got with the commercially identified 150g pack I'm not positive that the bulk bought fruit gums are original Rountrees. Lesson learnt.
