Knightsbridge FPR9UBCW Unswitched Floor Socket, Brushed Chrome with White Insert, 13 A, 2G

I bought this TV/Sat socket to replace a regular TV socket as I have moved from Freeview to Freesat due to the reduced number of HD channels now on Freeview. The socket has separate connections for TV coax and Satellite coax in the corners - each has one screw to grip the copper core and a second screw for the clamp which holds the braid. The metal cover is good quality and there is a clear plastic gasket around the edge behind the cover to avoid damaging the plaster when the screws are tightened. The only negative is I found the supplied screws to be slightly too short as my back box is a little recessed so I just used the screws from the previous TV socket. Ideally the screws would be 1cm longer. Installation was very simple and I now get a good picture from Freesat on my LG TV.

On the wall it looks fine, when used the click of the switch is too loud

I purchased this in order to cover a hole where the cables for my old thermostat came through the wall. Despite the description stating that the item is flat, it most certainly isn't! The lugs for the screws protrude from the rear, and there is also a metal clip protruding.

What a treat to buy an item of quality. Very good.

Good product but quite expensive and I used a qualified electrician to install it.

Looks great. Note the very shallow depth of front face, I hadn’t noticed that, it fitted fine and looks good.
