I looked for a heating pad for several years, as its difficult to find a nice one for animals and a safe one for use continuously. I have this on low setting all the time, since i am in the northeast, for a ferral who lives in my garage. The low setting seems to get hot enough at 20 degree outsoor climate to keep the cat comfortable, along with an electric heater. Its hardto find a pet pad that stays on all the time. I purchased it about 4 months ago and i have never turned it off! There are 2 settings, high and low. The size is really quite big allowing even a big fat cat or a small dog to lie down. The cord is sufficient in length. I do also keep an electric heater on all the time since my garage is frigid, it just puts a roof overhead and protects from the winds. I put it in a cardboard box over a blanket. The box is wrapped in outer blankets, sits on a styrofoam base on a table. So the heat from the pad can be conserved, which is what i read from the other reviews. Seems sturdy and reliabe, well made. We like it a lot, the cat did not hesitate to get tight on it, loves it.

This is my second one; the first one didn’t last through the first 2 hours. And I think electrocuted my dog. We put it in her crate/bed and ate dinner. By the time we were done eating she’d chewed through the cable and was then terrified to go back to her bed. Permanently. We had to not only buy her a new bed we had to send back the pad. But the company was great about replacing it! Thumbs up. The second go around with it has been a success. My old dog and her joints love the heat at night. She still won’t get on the old bed. Like it’s evil. LOL but with it under the new bed she’s happy.

Works as intended.. its slippery and stiff so using their small blankets (Chihuauas like to "burrow") doesn't work well so they end up directly on it (which is fine).. periodically it makes a weird squeek sound..

I purchased this for my ageing cat who had arthritis and after a few days of adjustment he really likes it. He's about 18 pounds and has plenty of room to sleep on it. The pad is thin and soft and when placed on the sofa or carpet he loves to sleep on it for hours. The cord is long enough that it reaches behind the sofa to the outlet without issue. I use the highest setting for him and it gets warm but not hot and certainly not as hot as a human heating pad so I don't have to worry about him sleeping on it too long. Overall, this is warm and comfortable and a decidedly cat approved and I recommend it too.

I had bought it for our 14 year old dog but because it made made noise on her bed, she wanted nothing to do with it. I was thinking that I had just wasted my money. None of the animals wanted to be near it. I decided to cover it with a towel. What happened next was so unexpected. Our 15 year old cat decided to check it out. Once she laid on it, she fell in love with it. She now gets up long enough to eat or drink water, use the litter box and be outside for a few minutes. No sooner she is done, it's back on the mat.

product didnt work really at all.barely warm. i contacted seller even tho my window for return was over. i hadnt opened the item cuz i had moved. it was past by quite a while. i was upset as i had bought 2 of them. seller was super! gave an immeediate refund. no hassle. great and very reccommended seller. bohofarms was the seller!

It's a nice pad. Decently made. No weird smells. I purchased this for two outdoor cats, I placed it inside a doghouse on an enclosed porch. (I live in NY) It lasted about 3 months and now half of the pad won't heat up. It hasn't been moved, or folded. It just stopped working. So now I have to purchase a new one. Im going with a different brand/product this time.

We have a small 12 lb. dog who shivers during the winter months. He hates to wear sweaters, but loves his warm bed with this heating mat. It is made of a waterproof fabric so I covered it with an old towel to create a softer surface. This was a relatively cheap solution to a long standing product for our Maurice.
