Realistic, made from real candle wax, huge! and works perfectly with its remote control. Love it! :)
The first thing my hubby said when he saw this candle flickering in our living room was that it looked real. I was pleased with that comment and I agree. Its as real as you can get without a real flame which just wouldn't be safe with my 2 cats about (inquisitive - `ooh what's that flame, lets put a paw in it to see' etc.)Its a lot bigger in real life than I imagined in my head. Its pretty huge! and it is made of real wax. Not beeswax though, just normal candle wax but it looks and feels pretty good ☺I've been using it for a few days now and no problems at all. The timers work, you can set it for 4 hours or 8 hours and after the time you choose has passed, it turns itself off. The remote control is perfect, covering turning on and off and also the 4 hour and 8 hour timers and a nice addition is the choice between `light' and `flickering' of the candle flame. Both are pretty and very effective.I had to put in 3 x AAA batteries when it arrived as it comes without batteries for the candle installed. However, it does come with the battery installed in the remote control unit.It comes delightfully boxed and this would be a perfect gift this coming festive season for a friend or family member, I am sure they will be delighted if they love candles as I do, but don't like the dangers associated with real flame candles.Realistic, huge, works perfectly and with a remote control. I couldn't be happier and highly recommend this LED real wax candle.

It is a good looking candle & very realistic
It is a good looking candle & very realistic. However, the remote control doesnt work even after replacing the battery which is very disappointing. Have asked the company for a replacement control because it is not cost effective to return the whole item. Let's see what their customer service is like.

Light was a bit dim sometimes didn't know if it was on or off. Remote control is good as the are placed out of reach. A bit more light and they would be perfect

The candle is as described and very realistic which is no surprise seeing as it is a wax moulding, howbeit obviously hollow to contain the electronics. It is well presented in a good box entirely suitable for a retail outlet with a colourful outer sleeve over the secure inner box. The candle is resting in two plastic mouldings to prevent damage in transit. What about the performance? Firstly you need to fit 3x AAA batteries and pull the insulation strip from the remote to release the button battery contacts. Then it only a matter of selecting the 'ON' button and the 'low' or 'high' level buttons for brightness. The flame is not visible when viewed at eye level, being sunk inside as with a normal candle after being in use for some time. The flicker effect as the light is seen through the translucent wax is very, very realistic. To view the 'flame, ' one has to sit the candle on, for instance, a coffee table and approach it. As you approach, the angle allows the flame to be seen adding to the realism. In a brightly lit room as when reading normally, the flame effect is very muted and is therefore at it's best in subdued lighting. I would also imagine that care will need to be taken when handling or storing the candle not to damage the top edges these being thinner as with a real large candle part used. How large is large? In imperial speak, the candle is half an inch shorter than ten inches. That's just a few inches taller than the typical large candles you see in the shops and a little greater than a hand can span. Unfortunately this candle is not suitable for my original intended use but it will go fine in my house and will be on display at Christmas. The remote can join the one for the TV......

Can be tempremental sometimes the remote doesnt work until you get within inches, certainly doesn't work from distance. Sometimes it comes on without using the remote. Okayish product
