Very lightweight blanket. It's soft and lovely but not very thick, heavy, or warm. I wanted something for the summer and it's perfect for that! If you're looking for a heavy quilt or thick warmth, this is not for you, but if you want a soft, summer, layer, this coverlet was a dream! Reminds me of sand dollars. Pillow cases fully enclose pillows as well and hold up well.

I purchased this in the new x-large Queen size and it is the right fit. I have 2 foam toppers on my traditional mattress, so it is taller than the norm. I did not want a coverlet that went down to the floor however, and this one does not for me. The star pattern is gorgeous, and reminds me of the real quilts I grew up with. The fabric is soft and is a slight sateen. Both the color and fabric type shift depending on the light. I only see the sateen effect with a flash on or with bright artificial light.COLOR: The color is very tricky to describe, but it is not as pale a pink as I expected based on pictures, and it's one of those colors that is super hard to capture accurately. In daylight, it is a brighter, saturated petal-type pink, but it never appears like a light, neutral to my eye. First picture is zero artificial light, with overhead skylights but not too sunny. Other pictures show color change just from light shifting a bit. There can be a peach undertone at in darker light. Hope this is helpful to someone!I agree with another reviewer that it's wonderfully easy to wash, and the quality is apparent. It also works well as a layer on top of a down-type quilt, as it's not too heavy, but substantial and makes the bed look neater. I tend to sleep very warmly and I've not had a problem with it, which is a minor miracle.The photos are pre-washing, but the folds did not need to be steamed or ironed out, they go away completely with a light tumble dry.Would love to see this offered in a true white color/star pattern.

I received it very quickly. I chose to just use the bedspread, folded, laying across the bottom of my bed. I love it ! It really ties in the color of my bedroom drapes, and the colors in a picture I have hanging over my bed. I love the idea of the design being embossed, so no worry of threads coming loose.. and that the fabric is pre washed so no shrinking. I may use the shams at a later time, but for now the bedspread folded at the bottom of the bed is just perfect.
