NexLand CS4015 Ceramic Ferro Rod Striker Balanced Size

This has a sharper and longer lasting edge than the section of hacksaw blade that come with most ferrocerium and magnesium fire starter kits. Going slowly, the edge will shave a curl, and a faster harder stroke will make a shower of sparks. When the tool is this short in length I only need a few fingers to grip it tightly enough for it to work very well.

Works great!! Only drawback is the hole for the cordage is small. Other than that it's a great product!!

Put into laces on boot with 1" fero rod on other boot laces, gives me a fire starter wherever I go.

This was much bigger and easier to use than their other sized striker which was good but too small to hold

YES this is small, but that is part of the point. You could carry a big knife or a purpose built striker, but this one is small enough to ALWAYS carry with you. Put it on a necklace or keychain type thing and it easily fits it your pocket. I would be careful with having with other things in your pocket as THIS striker will not be the item getting scratched.You might want to make or attach this to a lanyard to make it both easier to hold and not as easy to lose.I really like that the is a ceramic striker, so unlike other steel ones that might dull with use, or in your pocket or knives that may not be sharp enough, this should never dull, and can always be use to shave Fatwood or magnesium as well as the ferro rods. Win Win!
