Q: The pitch on mine is automatically set to 0 ... Is this 436hz? So i keep having to set the pitch to setting 8 to achieve the standard 444hz every time

That sounds like a fault, I have never had to change the pitch setting and it matches 2 other pedal tuners and my phone app. I would check the manual there may be a way to restore default settings.

Q: Will it tune non electro acoutic guitar or does it have to have a jack input

You need to plug your guitar in to the tuner.

Q: Does it mute your guitar while tuning?

Yes. It's got 2 outputs. 1 mutes the other doesn't. Smooth switching. Excellent display. Never let me down. Can't beat the value for money.

Q: 9v adaptor symbol suggests centre negative, can you suggest a suitable adaptor?

Any boss type 9v adapter will do.
